Divya, your journey has had many momentous milestones. Could you tell us about the life-changing milestones that have moulded you to be what you are today?

My journey has been marked by transformative milestones that have greatly influenced my professional development. Firstly, completing my Master’s in Mass Communication ignited my passion for the media world, laying the foundation for my career. Additionally, obtaining a Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations provided me with practical skills crucial for success in the industry.
Throughout my eight years of experience, working across diverse sectors ranging from auto to lifestyle, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape. Independently managing events such as the auto expo & Aero Expo and Startup expo and Conclave for PHDCCI showcased my ability to excel under pressure.
Transitioning to the role of Associate Director at Media Corridors was a pivotal milestone in my career, allowing me to actively contribute to shaping public relations strategies. Each of these experiences underscores the importance of continuous learning and resilience, reinforcing my commitment to innovation in the dynamic media landscape.

What are the setbacks you have faced? How did you tackle these setbacks or challenges? And what lesson have you learned from it?

Setbacks have been inherent in my journey. One notable challenge was the pressure of managing major events, such as the auto expo. To overcome this, I focused on efficient delegation, ensuring a capable team handled specific tasks, thereby lightening the load and fostering collaboration.
Another hurdle involved navigating government events with dignitaries, necessitating adaptability and composure. Clear communication, quick thinking, and building strong relationships proved crucial in these situations.
These challenges underscored the importance of resilience and adaptability. They taught me that setbacks are not roadblocks but opportunities for growth. Embracing teamwork, effective communication, and a positive mindset in the face of adversity has been a key lesson that continues to shape my approach to challenges in the dynamic world of media and communications.

When you look back, what are the three qualities in you that have helped you become what you are today?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities have been instrumental in shaping who I am today. Firstly, unwavering perseverance has driven me to consistently overcome challenges and strive for excellence. Secondly, adaptability has enabled me to navigate the dynamic media landscape and embrace evolving industry trends. Lastly, effective communication has been pivotal in building strong connections, whether with clients or within my team. These qualities, coupled with a passion for innovation, have been the cornerstone of my professional growth.

Who are the people who have been the wind behind your wings?

The individuals who have provided support and inspiration throughout my journey have been invaluable. Firstly, my family, with their unwavering encouragement, has served as the bedrock of my strength. My first mentor when I started my professional journey. Secondly, Ms. Ayushi Arora Gulyani, our current Director at Media Corridors, has played a pivotal role in offering guidance and shaping my professional perspective. Additionally, mentors within the industry have contributed significantly by providing insights and advice. Lastly, the dedicated team I’ve had the privilege to work with at Media Corridors has been the driving force behind my achievements, making every success a collective effort.

Lastly, if there was a quote to define you, what would it be?

If I were to choose a quote to define me, it would be ‘Be humble and polite to everyone and with your team.’

I believe in the power of humility and kindness in all interactions, both personal and professional. Treating others with respect and fostering a collaborative environment within my team are the principles I strive to embody every day.
