The event brought together leading women from diverse industries, offering a vibrant, insightful dialogue on the multidimensional journey of motherhood today. TheGlitz reports…

At the heart of Momentum was a thoughtfully curated panel discussion themed around four essential pillars that shape the lives of modern mothers: Balance & Growth, Health & Wellness, Financial Wellness, and Redefining Self-Care.

Balance & Growth:
Renowned corporate leader Ms. Sonia Srikanth opened the conversation by addressing the delicate dance between personal ambition and family responsibilities. She called for a redefinition of success, rooted in empathy, strong people management, and workplace flexibility. Highlighting the importance of automation and tech-enabled tools in easing household burdens, she underscored the urgent need for corporate India to design more inclusive and supportive ecosystems for working mothers.

Health & Wellness:
Taking a more intimate turn, Dr. Pratibha Narayan shed light on the often-overlooked emotional and physical challenges new mothers face. From postpartum depression to anxiety, she candidly addressed the silent battles many women endure. Her call to action was clear… families must play a proactive role in supporting mothers, and routine health screenings should become the norm, not the exception. “Mental and physical health are intertwined,” she said, “and both deserve equal care.”

Financial Wellness:
Moving from emotions to empowerment, Ms. Anjali Bhatt Manda steered the dialogue towards money matters. She encouraged women to step beyond traditional household budgeting and actively engage in financial planning and investment. “Resources for financial literacy are more accessible than ever,” she noted. “It’s time women use them to shape secure, independent futures.”

Redefining Self-Care:
Closing the panel on an uplifting note, Dr. Anusuya Karjela reimagined the idea of self-care, not as a luxury, but as a vital necessity. Her message was clear: self-care should be intentional, informed, and aligned with one’s values. From wellness rituals to emotional boundaries, she empowered mothers to prioritise their well-being unapologetically.

The engaging session was expertly moderated by Ms. Puja Khan, Co-Convener of the CII IWN Health and Well-being Vertical, who wove the discussions into a cohesive narrative that reflected the overarching ethos of the day, celebrating mothers as more than caregivers, but as professionals, pioneers, and powerful voices of change.

A Toast to Women Who Do It All

Post-panel, guests were invited to Ottimo, ITC Kohenur’s signature Italian restaurant, for an indulgent high tea. The atmosphere was lively and elegant, featuring summer-inspired gourmet delights, refreshing beverages, and a range of interactive workshops that encouraged guests to unwind, connect, and reflect.

Whether it was through a shared laugh over a cup of artisanal tea or a heartfelt takeaway from the panel, the event succeeded in fostering a strong sense of community, honouring women not just for what they do, but for who they are.

With Momentum, ITC Kohenur reaffirmed its dedication to championing diversity, sustainability, and inclusive luxury. More than just a hotel, it positioned itself as a destination where stories unfold, conversations empower, and milestones are celebrated with depth and purpose.

This Mother’s Day, the message was loud and clear: being a mother is not about doing it all, but about evolving, embracing, and empowering… with grace, grit, and a whole lot of heart.
