After making the traditional aesthetic more accessible, the 125-year-old heritage jewellery brand Sangeeta Boochra has launched Charbagh, a capsule collection, in collaboration with the quintessential designer Gabriella Demetriades.

Borrowing from the Indo-Persian quadrilateral garden, the minimalistic yet versatile jewellery line marks a foray by the creative houses into a space that makes way for the unique, eclectic, ambitious and assertive woman. The jewellery in this collection goes above and beyond being just one thing.

This collection rightly features shades of gold and silver, extending from Sangeeta Boochra Jaipur’s original work in the field. Built from the point of view of today’s women, the designs reflect the art of bringing tradition and modernity together while making way for new values as times change.

Sangeeta Boochra:
Sangeeta Boochra is a veteran designer and the daughter-in-law of Seth Kistoor Chand Boochra who was known as the ‘Silver King of India’ crafts designs that embody grace and aim for perfection. Her designs inspire those who appreciate style, design and uncompromising quality. From statement necklaces to showstopper earrings and stunning bracelets, each piece reflects the intricate craftsmanship of temples down South, with a multitude of cultural motifs synonymous with the tribal rhythm of the Bodos of Assam, the feisty Bhils of Gujarat and Rajasthan, the vibrant Bhutias of Sikkim, the fascinating Gaddis of Himachal Pradesh—breathing life into the craftsmanship of the Sangeeta Boochra line founded in 1994. She uses gemstones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Aquamarine, Turquoise and many more to give the royal look to her jewellery pieces.

Her pieces depict the culture of our country and are adored by A-listed Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities. One can always call it a modern renaissance in the art of fashioning ancient jewellery.
