Gin & Tonic Day

Gin, especially in its iconic Gin & Tonic form, has become a beloved spirit worldwide thanks to its versatility. Each bottle blends botanicals like juniper, coriander, and citrus, creating a unique and harmonious flavour. The trend of colour-changing gin adds excitement, transforming hue when mixed with tonic or citrus. Once seen as a “ladies’ drink,” gin has broken that stereotype, gaining popularity globally. Enthusiasts love its diverse flavours and endless mixology possibilities. Whether enjoyed neat or in complex cocktails, the Gin & Tonic remains a favourite for its refreshing simplicity and universal appeal.

India’s emerging gin scene adds another exciting dimension to this narrative. Craft offerings like Jaisalmer, with its royal heritage and 11 distinctive botanicals, and Nisaki, the innovative colour-changing gin, are proving that Indian distillers can compete with the world’s finest. These homegrown spirits bring unique local botanicals to the international gin stage, creating G&Ts with a distinctly Indian character.

The modern G&T isn’t just a drink—it’s an experience. Each concoction of gin, tonic, and garnish opens up new possibilities for discovery, making every drink an opportunity to appreciate this classic cocktail in a new light. Here’s to the continued evolution of gin and the timeless appeal of a perfectly crafted Gin & Tonic. TheGlitz has more..
