One such evening unfolded recently when the super talented, young and glam jewellery designer Rhea Poddar Loyalka launched her exclusive ‘Deshya by Ma Passion‘, a collection of couture jewellery defined by artistry, elegance, and meticulous craftsmanship, unveiled at an exquisite fashion show, carefully curated by none other than Marc Robinson, a name synonymous with glamour and finesse. Rhea Poddar Loyalka – Deshya Ma Passion: Unveiling Glam & Gravitas

As Founder & Editor-in-Chief, TheGlitz, I have had the privilege of attending countless soirées and fashion unveilings, but this particular evening stood out for its seamless fusion of artistry, passion, and elegance. The crowd itself reflected the occasion… stylish, discerning, and appreciative of fine craftsmanship. Conversations buzzed over flutes of champagne as guests marvelled at the sheer ingenuity of the show waiting to unfold.

The Perfect Introduction

The anticipation was palpable as Anhaita Shroff Adajania, celebrated stylist, took the stage to introduce the creative mind behind ‘Deshya Ma Passion‘ – the charming Rhea Poddar Loyalka. With effortless charm, Anhaita spoke of Rhea’s passion for design, her uncompromising vision, and her ability to breathe fresh life into the centuries-old tradition of jewellery-making. And the entranced audience leaned in, eager to witness what promised to be an unveiling unlike any other.

A Symphony of Craftsmanship

When the collection finally made its debut on the ramp, it was nothing short of a revelation. As the exquisite models sashayed down the ramp in amazing gowns by Gavin Miguel in shades of white, black and scarlet, complimenting perfectly the fabulous jewellery donned. Each piece was a testament to Rhea’s artistic eye and her deep understanding of how jewellery can transcend ornamentation to become wearable art. The designs spoke a universal language of beauty… modern yet timeless, bold yet intricate. The stones glimmered with an inner fire, set in designs that told stories of heritage and innovation in equal measure. It was not just jewellery; it was couture craftsmanship distilled into sparkling form.

The Marc Robinson Touch

Of course, no fashion evening of this calibre could be complete without the curatorial brilliance of Marc Robinson. With his signature flair, he ensured that every detail… from the staging to the ambience, exuded sophistication. The evening was designed not just as a showcase but as an immersive experience, where jewellery was not merely displayed but celebrated in a setting that honoured its artistry.

The Designer’s Vision

Rhea Poddar Loyalka’s approach to design is as refreshing as it is reverent. Drawing from her roots, she has created ‘Deshya by Ma Passion‘ as a brand that values heritage while fearlessly embracing the contemporary. Her pieces reflected this duality; they were both heirlooms in the making and statements of modern individuality. Watching her vision come alive on stage was to witness a dialogue between tradition and reinvention.

TheGlitz Verdict: A Celebration Beyond Ornamentation

Rhea Poddar Loyalka’s ‘Deshya by Ma Passion‘ was not simply about a jewellery collection, it was about storytelling. Every design carried a whisper of history, a note of innovation, and a resonance with the wearer’s personality. This is what couture jewellery, at its very best, should achieve. It should not only adorn but also empower, not just dazzle but also define. Indeed, Rhea’s collection accomplished all of this and more, leaving the audience spellbound.

Rhea Poddar Loyalka’s ‘Deshya Ma Passion: The Spark That Lingers

By the end of the night, as the lights dimmed and the conversations carried on, one thing was certain: Rhea Poddar Loyalka’s ‘Deshya by Ma Passion‘ had made its mark. The show was more than just an unveiling… it was a reminder that true design is as much about emotion as it is about artistry.
