Over To The Secret Alchemist – Ankita Thadani and Akash Walia

Aromatherapy has been a cornerstone of wellness for centuries. What inspired you, Ankita and Akash, to dive into this field and eventually launch Secret Alchemist in 2021? How did your mother’s research journey influence the brand’s vision?

Secret Alchemist

Our journey into aromatherapy is deeply rooted in personal history and passion. My mother, a dedicated wellness researcher and practitioner, spent over 30 years exploring the healing powers of essential oils. Witnessing her unwavering commitment to this craft and the transformative results her formulations brought to people’s lives inspired us to carry her legacy forward.

Secret Alchemist was born from a desire to make these ancient wellness practices accessible in today’s fast-paced world. We envisioned a brand that blends authenticity with convenience, bringing the therapeutic magic of essential oils to everyday routines.

Secret Alchemist has made waves with its easy-to-use products like roll-ons, oils, and creams. How do you ensure that your products not only provide therapeutic benefits but also integrate seamlessly into people’s daily routines?

At Secret Alchemist, our focus is on creating products that are both effective and effortless to use. We recognize that modern lives are busier than ever, so our formulations are designed to fit seamlessly into daily routines. For instance, our Calm roll-on is compact, easy to apply, and provides immediate relief from stress, making it perfect for a quick reset anytime, anywhere.

By offering various form factors—from creams to mists and roll-ons—we ensure that everyone can incorporate the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy into their personal rituals, whether it’s a morning boost, midday refresh, or evening unwind.

With the recent addition of Samantha Ruth Prabhu as co-founder, how has her involvement shaped the direction of the brand, and what values does she bring to Secret Alchemist’s mission?
Samantha’s partnership has been a game-changer for Secret Alchemist. She embodies our ethos of “wellness made simple” with her genuine commitment to holistic self-care. Her journey with aromatherapy has not only been personal but also transformative, allowing her to connect deeply with our mission.

As co-founder, Samantha brings invaluable insights into consumer needs and has been instrumental in shaping products that resonate with today’s audience. Together, we’re pushing boundaries to make wellness more mainstream, with a focus on educating people about the incredible benefits of aromatherapy.

You’ve just launched two innovative products – Calm Body Cream and Dream Body Cream, as well as Calm Face & Body Mist and Dream Body & Pillow Mist. Can you share what makes these products revolutionary in the world of aromatherapy?
Our new Calm and Dream ranges are a true fusion of skincare and wellness. These products take aromatherapy beyond traditional usage by combining the power of therapeutic-grade essential oils with nourishing ingredients for the skin.

The Calm range helps soothe the mind and body, making it perfect for unwinding after a hectic day, while the Dream products are designed to promote restful sleep and deep relaxation. What makes these offerings unique is their versatility—they’re not just functional but also indulgent, turning daily self-care into a sensorial, therapeutic experience.

Aromatherapy is a practice that focuses on well-being and mindfulness. How do you see the future of aromatherapy evolving, and what role do you envision Secret Alchemist playing in making this holistic practice more accessible and impactful to people’s lives?
The future of aromatherapy is bright, as more people recognize the importance of mental health and mindfulness. We see it becoming a vital part of mainstream wellness, moving beyond a niche practice to something everyone can easily integrate into their lives.

At Secret Alchemist, our mission is to demystify aromatherapy by creating products that are practical and versatile, making wellness accessible to all. We’re committed to educating consumers about the power of therapeutic-grade essential oils and building a community centered around holistic well-being. By continuously innovating and blending tradition with modern needs, we aim to make aromatherapy an essential part of self-care rituals everywhere.
