The tagline of Home Cook Lita’s Larder is simple, easy and fun. And her strawberry delight is all this and more. She told TheGlitz that there were some left-over strawberries in her fridge. It was tasting a little sour so didn’t appeal as an edible after-dinner fruit. But Lita conceived a fun way to use these strawberries and voila, here is the result. Enjoy this newest addition to Lita’s Larder!

Strawberry Delight

Serves 2

Ingredients:

A pack of strawberries (250 gms)

200 gms sugar

2 tsp Milk cream

Method:

Wash the strawberries well and then add 6 big teaspoons of water to it. Put the pan on the gas on low flame. Add 200 gms of sugar in it and keep stirring. In five minutes, you’ll find that the syrup has a reddish tinge. Take it down and cool.

Once the strawberry syrup is suitably cool, Add a nice big dollop of the milk cream. Garnish with some fresh strawberries and your strawberry delight is ready! And, how! Delectable flavors will be dancing the happy dance on your palate. You’ll find that the sour strawberries now taste amazingly sweet and the syrup has this gorgeous amalgamation of sweet and sour enhanced by the milk cream.

This entire dish takes merely 10 minutes and it tastes absolutely amazing.
