Be it a newly formulated cleansing gel, an innovative SPF defence, or an inventively hydrating crème, expect beauty fans to crowd in for prompt sampling and experimentation. Indeed, skincare is highly personal, but what also holds true is that any and every skin type and concern can benefit from hydrating, strengthening, and preserving one’s natural skin structure. So if you’ve got sensitive skin, xerosis (dry skin), dark spots, or pigmentation, you’re in luck. Bioderma has products with solutions to supercharge your skin.
Bioderma is one of the three NAOS brands founded in 1977 by Jean-Noël Thorel, a pharmacist-biologist who specialises in medication for dermatological and hair/scalp conditions, as well as for pediatrics and cell regeneration. Starting from the principle that “when skin is suffering, rather than over-treating it, it must be taught to function properly“, he created innovative product concepts with the support of renowned dermatology and biology researchers. Under NAOS’ universal ambition, the brand is committed to making dermatology accessible with its “Care First” approach and special attention to all skin sensitivities.
The brand is passionate about caring for, supporting, and improving the quality of life of everyone through its patented formulas and industry excellence. It believes in constant innovation to offer effective dermatological solutions that truly respect the skin and are easy for daily use. Through a unique ‘ecobiology approach’, Bioderma products help strengthen and preserve one’s natural skin structure.
The evolved beauty consumers of today are more informed, engaged, and connected than ever before. Hence, the brand is looking forward to increasing its presence and awareness amongst customers and educating them about why they should choose science-based, dermatologically tested products for their skin-related problems. All Bioderma products are formulated and produced in France.
The meticulously planned event was for the launch of four hero products: Pigmentbio Foaming Cream, Sensibio H2O, Sensibio Gel Moussant and Atoderm Crème. During the session, renowned dermatologist, Dr. Mikki Singh shared key skin care takeaways.
3 simple steps for a healthy skin.
Follow a consistent routine by using a good face wash, sunscreen, and moisturizer regularly. AM and PM.
Multi-layer SPF routine.
Before stepping out apply your products in this order: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, SPF goes last. The only thing you should layer over sunscreen is sunstick or sunscreen powder.
Logging heavy time in front of the screen can damage skin.
UV is everywhere. Exposure to radiation emitted by electronic devices, mobile phones, and even tubelights and cooking ranges damages the skin, unless you’re in a place with no light.
Expensive products equals better results.
Never. Choose wisely and adapt products that suit your skin instead of trying new and multiple products.
Diet and acne association.
Textbook gospel says there is absolutely no link. Said that, certain foods do trigger acne, like sugar, insulin spikes, and the HC index.
What is my skin type.
Find out from your doctor. To make a rough guess, upon waking, if you find your nose, chin, and cheeks shiny, it indicates an oily type. Next, after washing, if you find your skin dry and stretched, you have a dry type. And then there are combination and sensitive skin types.
Exfoliate frequency.
Depends on your skin type. For dry skin – once a week or in 10 days. For oily skin – twice or thrice a week.
Skin care routine for a busy lifestyle.
Same answer as the first question
Wait time after trying a product.
Be patient. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Turnover time is 28–30 days. Give it time — at least 4-6 weeks — until you see the results.
