What motivated you to create such a platform, and how did your background in International Relations and Law at Harvard and Cardiff University shape this vision?*

Shreya Sharma: Rest The Case was born out of a desire to bridge the gap between people and the legal system. Many individuals find the legal process intimidating and opaque, and I wanted to create a platform that simplifies access to justice for everyone. My academic journey at Harvard and Cardiff University, where I delved into International Relations and Law, exposed me to the global challenges of legal accessibility. It also instilled in me the importance of innovation in solving systemic issues. Rest The Case reflects this vision—a user-friendly, technology-driven solution to make legal help approachable and inclusive.

Can you tell us more about how this feature works and how it simplifies the process for someone seeking legal assistance?*

Shreya Sharma: Our lawyer filtering system is designed with the user’s convenience in mind. Clients can search for lawyers based on specific requirements such as expertise in family law, criminal cases, property disputes, or corporate matters. This personalized approach eliminates the guesswork and allows individuals to find the right legal assistance quickly. By streamlining the process, we empower users to make informed decisions with minimal effort.

How does this feature add value for users, and what measures do you take to ensure the accuracy and reliability of these templates?*

Shreya Sharma: The lawyer-verified document templates are an essential feature of Rest The Case. They cater to individuals and businesses who need quick access to reliable legal documents. Every template on our platform is created or reviewed by experienced lawyers to ensure accuracy and legal compliance. We also regularly update these documents to reflect the latest legal standards. This feature saves time and money for users while giving them the confidence of using professionally vetted legal resources.

How do you stay updated with the latest developments in the legal world, and how do you ensure that your content is accurate and relevant for your users?*

Shreya Sharma: We have a dedicated team of legal researchers and content writers who monitor legal developments, including judgments, amendments, and policy changes. We collaborate with practicing lawyers and legal experts to verify the authenticity of the information. By combining human expertise with technology, we deliver accurate, relevant, and fact-checked legal news and articles to our users. Our goal is to provide not just updates but actionable insights that help individuals and businesses navigate the legal landscape effectively.

What challenges did you face when starting Rest The Case, and how did you overcome them? How has your journey as a TEDx speaker influenced your approach to entrepreneurship?*

Shreya Sharma: Starting Rest The Case was a journey filled with challenges, from building trust in a relatively new concept to navigating technical and operational hurdles. Educating people about the value of a legal aggregator platform required persistent effort and clear communication. My TEDx journey taught me the power of storytelling and the importance of connecting with your audience. These lessons have shaped how I present and grow Rest The Case—by focusing on empathy, innovation, and clarity in our offerings.

What are your future goals for Rest The Case, and how do you envision scaling the platform to cater to a larger audience in the coming years?*

Shreya Sharma: Our vision is to make Rest The Case the go-to platform for legal solutions, not just in India but globally. We plan to expand our network of lawyers, enhance our technology with AI-driven tools like Legal GPT, and introduce multilingual support to reach more users. Our Virtual Chief Legal Officer (vCLO) service is another key area of growth, offering businesses comprehensive legal, accounting, and compliance services. By investing in user-centric innovations and partnerships, we aim to simplify justice for a larger audience and transform how legal services are accessed.

How is Legal GPT revolutionizing the way legal services are delivered, and what impact do you foresee it having on the broader legal ecosystem?*

Shreya Sharma: Legal GPT is a game-changer for the legal industry. By leveraging advanced AI, it simplifies legal research, automates routine tasks, and provides quick, accurate insights to lawyers and clients. It allows legal professionals to focus on strategy and decision-making rather than time-intensive manual processes. For users, it means faster, more affordable legal solutions. In the broader ecosystem, we see Legal GPT fostering efficiency, improving access to justice, and leveling the playing field for individuals and small businesses that previously struggled to afford top-tier legal services.
