Veil of Veda

When Veil of Veda sent TheGlitz its Glow Drops 2-in-1 Serum Primer and Lip Veil in Hibiscus Blush for review, the first impression was distinctly pleasing. Naturally, we had to put them to the test — because a beauty product can promise all the glow in the world, but it’s the experience on your skin that really counts. TheGlitz Reviews…

The Veil of Veda Product Packaging

The packaging is understated rather than shouty, with soft, dreamy pastel gradients and elegant typography that immediately communicates the brand’s beauty-meets-wellness philosophy. There is something calming about the aesthetic… it feels contemporary, feminine and quietly luxe without trying too hard. Both products also arrive neatly presented and feel like they belong to a modern beauty ritual rather than simply another makeup purchase.

Veil of Veda Glow Drops: The Skin-Prep Multitasker

The Veil of Veda Glow Drops 2-in-1 Serum Primer is the kind of product that makes sense for anyone who likes their beauty routine streamlined. The concept is clever: combine the skin-loving qualities of a serum with the smoothing, makeup-prepping function of a primer. The formula brings together ingredients including Kombucha Ferment, Niacinamide, a five-botanical complex, Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid, with the brand positioning it around hydration, barrier support, smoothing and radiance.

What I particularly liked is the finish. It gives the skin that fresh, healthy-looking luminosity without making it feel as though you have layered yet another heavy product onto your face. It sits beautifully as a final skincare step and equally well under makeup. For me, this is where Glow Drops earns its place: it makes skin look polished and rested while keeping the overall routine wonderfully uncomplicated. The texture feels modern and lightweight, and the resulting glow is sophisticated rather than glittery… exactly the kind of radiance I prefer.

Veil of Veda Lip Veil Hibiscus Blush: A Pretty Flush with Serious Care

The Lip Veil in Hibiscus Blush was the other standout. It is a tinted lip balm, but calling it simply a lip balm undersells the experience. The warm cocoa-toned blush gives lips a soft, natural-looking wash of colour, while the formula is built around ceramides, peptides, Shea Butter, Black Seed Oil, Hibiscus Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin C. The result is a lovely meeting point between colour and conditioning.

I particularly enjoyed how effortless it feels. There is no complicated precision required… swipe it on and you instantly get that polished, softly tinted lip that works beautifully for daytime. The finish has a healthy sheen rather than an overly glossy effect, and the formula leaves the lips feeling comfortable and nourished. The metal applicator is another thoughtful touch, adding a pleasantly cool, luxe sensation during application. It turns something as mundane as applying lip balm into a tiny beauty ritual.

The Verdict

What impressed me about these two Veil of Veda products is that they neither feels like skincare masquerading as makeup, or makeup with a token skincare story. They genuinely occupy that increasingly interesting middle ground. The brand’s philosophy of combining Ayurvedic inspiration with modern actives comes through clearly, while the products remain contemporary, easy and sensorial.

TheGlitz Take

Veil of Veda understands the modern beauty woman want – we want our makeup to make us look good, but we also want it to do something good for our skin. Veil of Veda Glow Drops and Lip Veil understand that brief beautifully. Veil of Veda Glow Drops was my pick for that fresh, lit-from-within complexion; Lip Veil Hibiscus Blush is the pretty little multitasker I’d happily keep in my handbag. Together, they make a convincing case for beauty that cares as much as it beautifies.
