6 plates. 6 places. One city: Food guide

Foodies, sharpen your forks and mark your maps… TheGlitz is serving up a one-city – so, okay, with a bit of cheating… we’ve got a bit of Pune and a smattering of Delhi too – six-stop flavour trail that’s equal parts tasty, trendy, and totally tempting. From melt-in-your-mouth modaks to sip-worthy cocktails, glow-up drinks to sustainable cafés, here’s our ultimate platter of indulgence this week. Ready? Let’s dig in!

6 Plates, 6 Places

1. World of Palates, Mumbai – When Plants Play Dress-Up

Number one of our “6 plates” series. If you think plant-based dining is all about bland greens and “boring rabbit food,” think again. At World of Palates, Chef Akshay Chikhalkar is spinning veggies into haute cuisine. Imagine a menu where global flavours flirt with desi warmth, creating dishes that taste like comfort food with a passport.

The showstopper? The Verdant Garden Elixir, a sip that feels like your tastebuds just booked a yoga retreat. One gulp and you’ll be saying, “Plant ’em galore!”

2. Meetha by Radisson – Dessert First, Always

`

6 plates get a sugar thrill. Sweet tooth alert! At Meetha by Radisson, festive indulgence comes plated with nostalgia. From pillowy rasmalai that melt faster than your resolutions to modaks that taste like Ganesh’s personal stash, this spread is sugar, spice, and everything nice.

The verdict from TheGlitz tasting squad? “Desserts so good, they should come with a warning label.” If happiness had a spoon, it would scoop this.

3. The Bigg Small Café + Bar, Mumbai – Whiskey Sour Day

6 plates

Cheers to 6 plates… Raise your glass, Lower Parel! August 25th was Whiskey Sour Day, and The Bigg Small Café + Bar shook up citrusy magic. Imagine bold whiskey waltzing with bright lemon, kissed with a hint of sweetness… that’s the kind of chemistry even dating apps can’t guarantee.

It’s not just a cocktail; it’s liquid courage with a citrus twist. Consider this your official invite to “pour decisions” that taste this good.

4. Sayaji Hotel, Pune – Modak Workshop

Modak magic and 6 plates… Tradition, but make it tasty. At Sayaji Hotel Pune, Home Chef Meena Paranjape and Chef Yashwant Sopne roll up sleeves (and rice flour) to teach the sacred art of Ukadiche Modak. Soft, pillowy, and stuffed with coconut jaggery dreams, these modaks are proof that some things can’t be rushed, they must be steamed with love.

This workshop is indeed edible heritage. Pune, you really wrapped up tradition beautifully.

5. The Grammar Room x Be., Delhi – Drinkable Skincare

6 plates

6 plates: “Sip & Hydrate or diedrate” just got a glamorous upgrade. At this collab, The Grammar Room x Be., beauty isn’t in the eye of the beholder, it’s in your glass. Seven collagen-infused drinks promise glow with every sip.

From sparkling mocktails to smoothies that double as skincare routines, this is where beauty meets beverage. Who needs a serum when you can sip your skincare? Cheers to dew-ing things differently.

6. Journal Café x Amolika Rege – The ReWear Project

6 plates

6 plates – food meets street fashion. …Where coffee meets consciousness. At Journal Café, fashion activist Amolika Rege’s ReWear Project brings art, sustainability, and streetwear to the same table. Picture racks of reimagined fashion, splashed with creativity, alongside comforting coffee and a side of mixology magic.

It’s the kind of café where you sip a latte and leave with more than caffeine, you leave with a sustainable cause. Fashion never tasted so good.

6 plates. 6 places. One city (Yes, we started out with Mumbai, but a smattering of Pune and Delhi added to the magic). Infinite flavours. Whether you’re sipping collagen, folding modaks, or clinking whiskey glasses, this week’s foodie trail is proof that the world really does revolve around our plates. The question is: where will your cravings take you first?
