Sounds of Kumbha

At TheGlitz, we’ve always had an ear for extraordinary sound… and right now, the world is humming to the rhythm of Sounds of Kumbha, a transcendent global music album that doesn’t just play, it resonates.

Created by new-age Indian classical singer and producer Siddhant Bhatia, this 12-track spiritual odyssey is a meditative movement, almost like a sonic pilgrimage that captures the heartbeat of the Mahakumbha, the world’s largest peaceful gathering. Commissioned by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and brought to life through a powerhouse collaboration with Network18, HistoryTV18, and Universal Music India, Sounds of Kumbha is a genre-defying, soul-soothing album that melds ancient Indian chants, field recordings, binaural frequencies, and global artistry into something that feels almost celestial.

Sounds of Kumbha Unplugged!

Raja Kumari

This is no ordinary album. It’s a sonic memoir of the Mahakumbha, blending immersive, on-location recordings from Prayagraj with hypnotic mantras and scientifically tuned binaural beats designed to elevate the listener into a meditative state. Created at SoulTrax Studios in New Delhi, each track is a universe unto itself, expertly mixed and mastered by 2x Grammy® winner P.A. Deepak. From the sacred hum of rivers to the quiet roar of consciousness, Sounds of Kumbha flows like a sacred river… serene, powerful, and infinitely expansive.

Souds of Kumbha
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

The album unites over 50 musicians from across the globe, including Grammy® winners, Indian maestros, and spiritual leaders. At its heart is the revered Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, whose message infuses the album with a higher frequency of purpose. “The whole world is just one human family… this message comes across through music in Sounds of Kumbha,” says Gurudev.

Joining him is a luminous lineup: Jim “Kimo” West (Grammy® winner), Madi Das (2x Grammy® nominee), Ron Korb (2x Grammy® nominee), Raja Kumari (Grammy® nominee), V. Selvaganesh, Charu Suri, Kala Ramnath, Bhanumathi Narasimhan, Kanika Kapoor, Aditya Gadhvi, and many more.

Singer Raja Kumari reflects on the experience: “It’s more than music, it’s a peace offering from the banks of Sangam to the soul of the world.” Pop icon Kanika Kapoor adds: “This isn’t just an album. It’s a spiritual time capsule that carries the very essence of India’s classical legacy.”

Spiritual Diplomacy

Devraj Sanyal, producer and Chairman & CEO of Universal Music India & SVP Strategy, UMG, puts it beautifully: “This collaboration isn’t just artistic, it’s spiritual diplomacy. Sounds of Kumbha shows that when India leads with culture, the world doesn’t just listen… it joins the chorus.”

For Siddhant Bhatia, the visionary behind it all, Sounds of Kumbha is both personal and universal. A Grammy® ballot-listed singer and researcher, Bhatia’s prior work includes Gratitude Joy 3 with 4x Grammy® winner Paul Avgerinos. But this, he says, is his most meaningful project yet. “Sounds of Kumbha is India’s peace offering to the world,” says Bhatia. “It lets anyone, anywhere, feel the energy of the Kumbha… its chants, its stillness, its spiritual power.”

Available on YouTube and social platforms

Each track is accompanied by a cinematic music film, capturing the visual majesty of the Mahakumbha in 12 spellbinding videos. Available on YouTube and social platforms, these films elevate the listening journey into a full-spectrum experience—meditative, immersive, and unforgettable. Released globally on July 2, 2025, under Universal Music India (a division of UMG), the album is available on all major streaming platforms including Spotify and YouTube. Ultimate Music

At TheGlitz, we love music that isn’t just trending, it’s transcending. Sounds of Kumbha isn’t just an album; it’s a musical mandala, a spiritual symphony, and a reminder that in the language of the soul, India always sings the loudest… and the purest.
