Asian Paints Where The Heart Is Season 9

Some homes are constructed with brick and mortar. Others are built with laughter echoing through corridors, memories layered into walls, and a sense of belonging that grows quietly over time. The premiere episode of Asian Paints Where The Heart Is Season 9 invites viewers into one such deeply personal sanctuary… the Spanish-style villa of Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, tucked away in the tranquil embrace of Mumbai’s Madh Island. As the series returns with renewed warmth and authenticity, this opening episode sets the tone with a story that feels lived-in, heartfelt, and profoundly real… TheGlitz reports.

Born from a long-cherished dream of owning a standalone home in Mumbai, the villa was created by thoughtfully merging two bungalows into one expansive, soulful residence. Over nearly two decades, the home has evolved organically with the family… adapting to life’s phases, absorbing memories, and settling into a space that feels instinctively theirs.

“This home has been very, very lucky for us. I get goosebumps when I say that,” Archana shares in the episode. Surrounded by open skies, trees, and the quiet rhythm of Madh Island, the house has shaped more than just their lifestyle… it has influenced who they have become. “All our beginnings were here, and I truly believe we would have been very different people had we not shifted to this house.”

At the heart of the home lies the expansive living room… a space that has witnessed countless gatherings, conversations, and celebrations. “This living room has hosted hundreds of people,” Archana says, recalling musical evenings where the raised platform transforms into a stage for impromptu performances by her sons and friends. One of its most evocative features is the memory wall, adorned with cherished family photographs. Finished in a subtle lime-based texture using Asian Paints Nilaya Arc, the wall radiates warmth and emotional depth. “It doesn’t feel like décor, it feels like love,” Archana smiles, admitting she wants more of it across the house.

The villa unfolds across two levels, designed to balance togetherness with privacy. The lower floor houses the grandparents’ rooms and eldest son Aryamann’s space, while the upper level opens into Archana’s office, the master bedroom, and younger son Ayushmann’s room… each spilling out onto balconies that overlook the garden, ensuring nature remains a constant presence.

The master bedroom has organically emerged as the emotional nucleus of the home. Rendered in soothing greys and anchored by a four-poster bed, it is where the family gathers in moments of joy, reflection, and even tears. Thoughtful indulgences—a hidden microwave and a discreet snack station—underscore the home’s philosophy: comfort over perfection, always.

Each son’s room mirrors their individuality. Aryamann’s space features blue-and-white striped wallpaper paired with exposed wooden rafters, lending it a relaxed, coastal charm. Ayushmann’s room, inspired by the greenery outside, embraces soft sage tones, muted taupe walls, and a light, airy palette. His most treasured feature is the skylight—a childhood dream realised. “I wanted one since I was five. In the rains and winters, it’s the most beautiful place in the world.”

Nature weaves quietly yet powerfully through the home… via gardens, balconies, sea air, and generous daylight. Archana believes this closeness to nature has nurtured her children’s creativity, allowing them the space to grow freely and artistically.

Parmeet, who has meticulously preserved the home’s Anglo-Spanish character, speaks proudly of its exterior. “The architecture, the pergola, the plants… it all comes together beautifully. I’ve used Asian Paints Ultima, and it’s lasted 22 years. That’s saying something.”

As the episode closes, Archana offers heartfelt advice: “Make your home with love and your own taste. Never compromise on comfort. And always have lots of plants—that’s what makes a home truly special.”

Extending the experience beyond the screen, the Asian Paints Where The Heart Is Lookbook decodes the villa’s soft palette, lime finishes, and natural textures, offering viewers inspiration to recreate a home that is warm, restrained, and designed to age beautifully, just like the stories it holds.

TheGlitz Says

In a world chasing instant makeovers and fleeting trends, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi’s Madh Island home is a masterclass in slow, soulful living. Rooted in nature, layered with memory, and unapologetically personal, it reminds us that true luxury isn’t loud—it lingers. Homes like these don’t just shelter lives; they witness them, evolve with them, and quietly become part of who we are. And that, perhaps, is where the heart truly is.
