Sandhya Shetty

She’s much more than India’s foremost supermodel and actor, she’s an International speaker, anchor and host for many top-end events, Karate Commonwealth Champion and gold medalist… she’s Sandhya Shetty. A woman and a professional, who believes, “Define me or do not define me … What you see is what you get and it’s my life and my rules.” In a candid interview with TheGlitz, Sandhya Shetty talks about what defines her as a woman and more…

Over To Sandhya Shetty

Sandhya Shetty

You are not just a powerhouse supermodel and performer, you are also an athlete, humanitarian, social activist and so much more. So what defines you as a woman?

As an actor, model, karateka and Humanitarian, what defines me is my strong, singular independent identity despite my versatile nature of work and personality. I’d say, “Sandhya is everything that she wants but her core of being a strong woman with mental, spiritual and emotional balance is what defines her.”

Are you a strong woman who has held her ground no matter what or a firebrand feminist? Or both? Why?

I would not put myself in a box instead I rather say that I am my own firebrand and would like to inspire, aspire, learn and unlearn the process of living and loving life and people. Feminism for me is equality for all, being aware of my own actions and being mindful towards others and most importantly, to self. The biggest mantra is self-love first, when I am happy and filled with love then I can share and spread the same.

Lastly, if there was a quote to define you, what would it be?

“Define me or do not define me … What you see is what you get… and it’s my life and my rules.’ #Nofear
