Over To Spokesperson Vikas Nagar, Hotel Manager, Pilibhit House, Haridwar-IHCL SeleQtions

Pilibhit House is a heritage gem by the Ganges. How does it feel to lead such a historically rich property, and what was your first impression when you took over as Hotel Manager?

Leading Pilibhit House is truly a privilege. From the moment I arrived, I was moved by its heritage, soul, and the serene embrace of the Ganges. It’s more than a hotel—it’s a living story. My mission has been to honour that legacy by creating meaningful experiences that blend tradition with warmth and quiet luxury.

With your strong background in food and beverage, what new culinary experiences or concepts can guests expect at Pilibhit House under your leadership?

At Pilibhit House, we are reimagining dining as a soulful journey—deeply rooted in local traditions and served with quiet elegance. Guests can expect curated regional menus, seasonal ingredients, and intimate culinary moments by the Ganges while respecting the vegetarian ethos of the city.

Pilibhit House blends aristocratic charm with modern luxury. How do you maintain this balance while enhancing the guest experience to reflect IHCL’s hallmark of hospitality?

Pilibhit House is where timeless heritage meets thoughtful modernity. We honour the property’s aristocratic roots while enhancing every touchpoint with IHCL’s signature warmth, creating an experience that feels both authentic and indulgent. The goal is to make every guest feel like they’ve stepped into a timeless sanctuary, where legacy meets Tajness.

You’ve played key roles in large-scale events like the G20 and SCO summits. How has that experience shaped your approach to hosting high-profile guests and designing bespoke experiences at Pilibhit House?

My experience with high-scale events like the G20 and SCO shaped my understanding of world-class hospitality. It’s not just about protocol—it’s about creating meaningful, memorable moments with empathy and detail. At Pilibhit House, we carry that mindset into every guest interaction, blending quiet luxury with thoughtful curation.

What is your vision for positioning Pilibhit House as Uttarakhand’s most preferred luxury destination, and what strategies are you putting in place to achieve that?

Our vision is to make Pilibhit House the most sought-after luxury destination in Uttarakhand—where guests come for the serenity, stay for the soul, and return for the experience. We are focusing on curated wellness, immersive storytelling, and authentic hospitality to build deep emotional connections that go beyond a stay.

As a leader with roots in operations and people management, how do you motivate your team to deliver Taj-level excellence every day, especially in a spiritually and emotionally significant destination like Haridwar?

Haridwar is not just a destination—it’s an emotion. Leading a team here requires more than skill; it demands purpose and presence. My approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and leading by example. I remind my team that we are not just offering service—we are becoming part of someone’s spiritual or personal journey. When they feel valued, connected, and inspired, Tajness becomes a natural outcome. It’s about building a culture where every team member serves with heart, humility, and pride.

Pilibhit House is part of IHCL SeleQtions, known for its distinctive character. How does this affiliation influence your approach to service, branding, and personalized guest experiences?

SeleQtions is a named collection of hotels with a distinct character. Celebrating legacy of time, a sense of place or a specific theme, these hotels enjoy a strong equity, are well-established and bring to life experiences through their location, décor, service, cuisine and more. SeleQtions celebrates uniqueness and individuality—and that inspires us to curate guest experiences that are rooted in Pilibhit House’s unique character. From service to storytelling, it’s about creating authentic, soulful connections.

Looking ahead, are there any unique initiatives, collaborations, or expansions in the pipeline that guests or the local community can look forward to?

From soulful rooftop dining at The Terrace to wellness-led private luxury, we are curating intimate experiences that reflect the spirit of SeleQtions and the soul of Haridwar. Pilibhit House will continue to stand for individuality, uniqueness , serenity, and heartfelt hospitality.

They swirl, they sip, they sparkle... and somewhere between a velvety Pinot and a bubbly Prosecco, Gargi Kothari and Devathi Mallick have bottled India’s most effervescent wine revolution. As the Co-founders of Viva la Vino, they’re uncorking a whole new attitude toward wine. Forget hushed sommelier whispers and intimidating wine lists; for Gargi and Devathi, wine is about laughter that spills as easily as the pour, about clinking glasses over good stories, and about replacing pretentious tasting notes with pure, unfiltered joy.
When the shimmering spotlight of Dharma Productions... once practically engraved with “Reserved for Ananya Panday”, suddenly swivels toward a new face like Aneet Padda, you can bet Bollywood’s gossip blender goes into overdrive. After all, Ananya has long been the chosen one of the Karan Johar galaxy (yes, that KJo, patron saint of pouty debuts and designer heartbreaks). But now, with Aneet — the surprise breakout star of 2025 — sashaying into the Dharma halo, it looks like Ananya’s designer heels might be wobbling just a little. The Basileio is a premium vegetarian restaurant that promises “regal, fine dining Greek-inspired indulgence.” This stunningly 'instagrammable' place is a Hellenic haven... ornate interiors, statues of Greek Gods, and golden-gilded portraits that could make even Aphrodite pause for a selfie. Plush chairs, romantic lighting, and a layout that whispers “fine dining” louder than Dionysus after a wine festival. On weekends, there’s live music too — the kind that turns dinner into a bit of drama, a bit of delight, and a whole lot of delicious.

But behind that composure lay something deeply personal — an anchor etched not in gold but in ink. A tattoo... a geometric mandala inspired by Aham Brahmasmi that became her mirror, her mantra, and her inner compass through the storm. TheGlitz reports.
