ANAMIKA KHANNA BRINGS HER COUTURE TO LONDON FOR THE UK–INDIA CREATIVE CIRCLE’S DIWALI CELEBRATION, IN COLLABORATION WITH AMRAPALI JEWELS
At the historic Royal Automobile Club, Anamika Khanna, the celebrated couturier joined forces with Amrapali Jewels for a showcase that brought India’s distinctive design vocabulary to London’s fashion and cultural stage.
Indian couture has never needed to borrow a language to make a statement. It has always had its own vocabulary … intricate craftsmanship, extraordinary textiles, artistic detailing and a rich cultural inheritance that continues to inspire contemporary expression. And when Anamika Khanna took her couture to London’s Royal Automobile Club for the UK–India Creative Circle’s Diwali celebration, she brought precisely that unmistakable Indian design sensibility into the international spotlight.
Presented in collaboration with Amrapali Jewels, the showcase was a meeting of two celebrated creative houses, united by a shared appreciation for heritage, artistry and modern luxury. TheGlitz celebrates this powerful coming together of Indian craftsmanship and global creative expression.
When Couture Becomes Cultural Conversation

Held on Friday, 30 October 2026, at the historic Royal Automobile Club on Pall Mall, the special presentation was part of UKICC’s annual Diwali celebration. It was more than a fashion showcase; it was an opportunity to place Indian couture within a wider conversation about international creativity, cultural exchange and the evolving language of luxury.
Anamika Khanna has carved out a distinctive place in Indian fashion through a design philosophy that refuses to be confined by convention. Her work brings traditional Indian craftsmanship into conversation with contemporary silhouettes, artistic textures and unconventional detailing. Rather than treating heritage as something to be preserved behind glass, she approaches it as a living, breathing source of inspiration — something to reinterpret, experiment with and make relevant to the modern wardrobe.
That ability to balance the familiar with the unexpected is what makes her couture compelling. Her aesthetic is rooted in Indian craft, yet its sensibility is unmistakably international. It is fashion that understands where it comes from without being restricted by where it is expected to go.

Anamika Khanna Meets Amrapali’s Artistry
The collaboration with Amrapali Jewels added another dimension to the presentation. The Jaipur-born jewellery house is known for drawing inspiration from India’s rich cultural and artistic traditions, translating them into distinctive pieces for contemporary audiences. Paired with Khanna’s couture, its jewellery brought together two interpretations of Indian artistry… one expressed through fabric, form and silhouette, the other through precious materials, design and ornamentation.
Speaking about the showcase, Anamika Khanna, Fashion Designer, said:

“Diwali has always been a celebration of light, beauty, craftsmanship and new beginnings, and I was delighted to be able to bring my work to London as part of this very special evening. For me, fashion is a powerful way of telling stories and connecting cultures, and this collaboration with the UK–India Creative Circle, alongside the artistry and jewellery of Amrapali, is a wonderful expression of that connection. It was a special moment to celebrate with an audience that represents the extraordinary creative relationship between India and the UK.”
Speaking about the collaboration, Tarang Arora, CEO and Creative Director of Amrapali Jewels, said:
“At Amrapali, jewellery has always been a way of preserving and expressing the many stories that make up India’s cultural heritage. Our craft draws from centuries of tradition, yet continues to evolve through the way we interpret it for contemporary audiences. Collaborating with Anamika Khanna in London offered an opportunity to bring these traditions into conversation with a distinctive couture language. It was a celebration of the creativity and craftsmanship that India has to offer, and of how our heritage can find resonance with audiences across the world.”

A Diwali Evening With a Global Creative Pulse
The evening, hosted by Dr R. Sri Ram, Founder and Executive Chair of the UK–India Creative Circle, brought together voices from fashion, luxury, music, media, business and culture. The celebrations extended beyond couture, with a specially curated performance by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The string quartet presented classical compositions alongside arrangements of music by Indian composer A.R. Rahman, creating a musical bridge between two creative worlds.
The mood then shifted gears with a contemporary DJ set presented by Club Blue, featuring British rapper, producer and artist Lancey Foux, alongside DJs Kizzi and Amari. It was a fitting finale to an evening that celebrated the many ways creativity travels, transforms and connects people across borders.
TheGlitz Take

This is precisely the kind of international fashion moment Indian couture needs… not a polite appearance on a global calendar, but a confident assertion of creative identity. Anamika Khanna does not dilute Indian craftsmanship to make it internationally palatable; she demonstrates why its individuality deserves the world’s attention.
And with Amrapali Jewels alongside her, the showcase made an equally compelling statement about the power of collaboration between homegrown luxury houses. India’s fashion story is not waiting for global validation. It is already rich, relevant and remarkably original. London simply provided another stage on which to shine.
Our verdict? Indian couture has arrived with its own rules, its own rhythm and absolutely no intention of playing second fiddle.
