Nasty rumors are swirling once again about Bollywood’s royal couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and this time, they’re hotter than ever. The grapevine is buzzing with juicy details that the couple, long considered the poster children of Bollywood royalty, may be heading for Splitsville finally because of an alleged affair —and the whispers are spicier than a roadside chaat! TheGlitz investigates…

According to one very chatty Reddit reader with an alleged ear to the ground, the real reason behind the rift is allegedly a steamy affair between Abhishek and his Dasvi co-star, Nimrit Kaur. Yes, you read that right! According to the same Reddit reader, while the duo were on-screen playing good ol’ Desi roles, off-screen there was reportedly a bit more than script reading going on. As the gossip goes, Abhishek and Aishwarya have apparently been living apart for quite a while, and the gorgeous Nimrit might just be the leading lady in this off-camera drama.

Tensions first became obvious when the power couple was spotted entering separately at the event of the season – the grand Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant wedding. Paparazzi who would kill for a picture of the two arm-in-arm got quite the opposite, when Aishwarya with daughter Aaradhya in tow finally joined the Bachchan family – Abhishek, looking like someone just stole his popcorn at a movie screening, and Aishwarya, visibly irritated and far from her usual composed self. It didn’t go unnoticed.

Then there was that infamous Pro Kabaddi match last year where the duo publicly bickered like they were starring in their own reality show. Now, fast forward to the Nimrit rumors, and everything’s starting to look more than a little suspicious.

And don’t think Big B, the formidable Amitabh Bachchan, hasn’t noticed the chaos. Known for being the stoic patriarch, it seems he’s taken to Twitter to vent his frustrations (albeit in his classic cryptic style). Subtle jabs about the importance of family roots and the fragility of togetherness? If that’s not a veiled swipe at Abhishek, we don’t know what is. Could it be that even the towering Shahenshah of Bollywood has thrown in the towel when it comes to keeping this family stitched together?

To be fair to Bollywood’s golden couple, it’s common knowledge that even the most glamorous marriages hit bumpy roads. And to Abhishek’s credit, when a particularly nosy pap caught him at the airport recently, the actor didn’t shy away from the rumors swirling around. In true witty style, he flashed his wedding ring and quipped, “Sorry, still married.” But hey, that sarcasm only added more spice to the rumor mill!

With whispers of an alleged affair with Nimrat Kaur during the Dasvi shoot, tension between Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seems palpable, despite his cheeky rebuttals. The two have reportedly been living separate lives for some time, fueling the gossip fires further.

So for now, all eyes are on the Bachchans. Is this just another Bollywood plot twist, or are we witnessing the unraveling of one of the industry’s most iconic unions? Whatever the case, it’s the kind of drama even a Karan Johar movie can’t script! But the Bachchan story is far from over.

Adding another layer to the already brewing Bachchan drama, last year’s news about Amitabh Bachchan gifting his iconic bungalow, Pratiksha, to his daughter Shweta has tongues wagging. Shweta, who has always been close to her parents, seems to be spending more and more time in Mumbai. Meanwhile, her husband, businessman Nikhil Nanda, is reportedly still based in Delhi. Naturally, people are starting to ask questions – has another high-profile marriage bitten the dust?

The timing of this generous Pratiksha gift has also sparked all kinds of speculation. Was it a loving gesture from a doting father, or is there more behind it? Some sources suggest that Amitabh, who is known to be fiercely protective of his family, may have sensed that Shweta needed a stronghold in Mumbai – a sort of safe haven amidst rumors of marital discord. Or like some netizen insinuated, could it be to safe-guard the Bachchan property in case there is a divorce in the family.

The ever-poised Shweta, a regular at Bollywood soirees and part of the upper-crust social circle, has always been a bit of an enigma. She splits her time between glamorous Mumbai events and what some say is a quieter life in Delhi with Nikhil. But with her frequent trips to Mumbai – and now a mansion to call her own – questions around the strength of her marriage are bound to bubble up.

With Bachchan family tensions seemingly at an all-time high – between Abhishek and Aishwarya’s rumored separation, Amitabh’s cryptic tweets, and now Shweta’s increasing presence in Mumbai – the Bachchan Parivaar may be headed for a full-blown media storm.

However, as with all things Bachchan, the truth might be multi-layered, but one thing is clear: all is not as rosy as it seems in this Bachchan dynasty.
