Bollywood is on fire. Rumours are rife that there is deep trouble in the Bachchan Junior paradise. And, how! Indeed, the whispers have been going strong for years and now it’s reached a vociferous crescendo – one we just can’t ignore. Sumita Chakraborty, Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz scoops out the dirt, to find out more…

Bollywood Natter

Way back, a gossip maven from the industry, who incidentally is an actor who has worked with both Ash and Abhishek told us that Bachchan Jr’s marriage is in “deep trouble”. In fact, it’s only thanks to papa Amitabh Bachchan that the two were living together. But their relationship had strained to the level that the two barely spoke to each other.

Today, the whispers are even louder. The grapevine recently rumbled with the news that Ash had walked out of the Bachchan house and has moved in with her mum, of course, with ladli beti Aradhaya in tow. But of course, we saw the duo put up a united front at beti Aradhaya’s posh school concert. Though they didn’t sit together, they posed for pictures together. But the paps could still feel the undercurrents behind their smiles.

But now, the Bollywood grapevine is abuzz again with whispers that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may be heading for divorce. The glamorous duo, who have been married for over a decade, are now the subjects of intense speculation, and fans are left wondering if there’s any truth to these rumors.

Trouble in Bollywood Paradise?

Abhishek and Aishwarya, often seen as the epitome of Bollywood royalty, have always maintained a ‘dignified front’ in public. But recently, their sullen faces and perceived distance have set tongues wagging. The couple, who were once inseparable at film premieres, award shows, and social events, have noticeably decreased their joint appearances, fueling speculation that all is not well behind the scenes.

Separate Appearances at the Ambani Wedding

Bollywood

The most striking evidence of their rumored marital strife surfaced at the Big, Fat, grand Ambani wedding. The couple arrived separately, which many found unusual for such a high-profile event. The absence of the Bachchan family’s customary unity raised eyebrows, with some noting that even Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan seemed to be avoiding Aishwarya. The cold shoulder from the Bachchan seniors only added fuel to the fire of speculation. Later though Ash sat with Abhishek, the coldness between the duo was palpable. Later in the evening, Ash was spotted hugging and kissing Rekha. She was heard calling her “ma”.

Social Media Clues

Observers have noted that both stars have been posting fewer pictures together. In fact, even on social media, there are hardly any pictures of Ash and Abhi together. Recently, Abhishek, known for his witty and supportive tweets, liked a comment on Instagram that mentioned divorce. Though he didn’t directly address the comment, many paps inferred that it was a subtle nod to his current relationship status with Aishwarya. Even the ‘Big B‘ seems to have resigned to the fact that it was a troubled paradise and his recent spate of cryptic tweets added fuel to the ongoing speculations.

Career Divergence

Another angle to the rumors is their diverging career paths. While Aishwarya has been busy with her international endorsements and sporadic film projects, Abhishek has been making a name for himself with web series and niche film projects. This career divergence has led to speculations about potential conflicts and differing priorities within their marriage. Could their professional lives be pulling them apart further?

Family Dynamics

Many say that mom Jaya Bachchan and sister Shwetha don’t see eye-to-eye with Ash so much so that papa Amitabh got them a separate section of their residence. The Bachchan family is no stranger to media scrutiny, and Abhishek and Aishwarya’s marriage has always been in the spotlight. Sources close to the family suggest that internal pressures and differing family dynamics might be contributing to their rumoured marital strain.

Public Statements

Despite the swirling rumors, both Abhishek and Aishwarya have maintained a stoic silence. Their representatives have neither confirmed nor denied the speculations, leaving fans and media in a guessing game. Historically, the couple has been private about their personal lives, choosing to focus on their professional achievements and family.

The Waiting Game

As Bollywood continues to buzz with gossip and speculation, fans of the couple are left hoping that these rumours are just that – rumours. Abhishek and Aishwarya have weathered storms before and emerged stronger, and many are optimistic that this time will be no different.

TheGlitz Avers

Whether the rumors of a split are true or not, one thing is clear: Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remain one of Bollywood’s most iconic couples. Their journey, both personal and professional, has been a source of inspiration for many. As the world watches and waits, let’s hope that love conquers all and that the Bachchans continue to grace us with their presence, both on and off the screen.

But is that possible? Last we heard Kartik Aaryan tell the paps that Abhishek Bachchan gave him some advice… and it was “Don’t get married!” Hmm…
