There are moments that stop a city in its tracks... and last morning in Mumbai’s Powai was one of them. A teacher and social activist, Rohit Arya, took 20 children hostage inside a small studio in Powai. He made a video and posted it on social media. “Don’t trigger me,” he said in his video. “I’ll set myself on fire… just listen to me once.” Within an hour, the police acted with precision and courage, rescuing the children safely. But Arya, who’d long been battling a different kind of fire, was shot and later succumbed to his injuries. His death has now sparked a haunting question: what happens when the system simply refuses to listen? TheGlitz reports...
Ar. Rajkumar Kumawat, founder and principal of Rajkumar Architects, has been designing award-winning spaces in Jaipur since 1997, mixing modernist ideas with the city's considerable heritage. But there's something else informing his work that most architects avoid: Vastu. Not as decoration, but as groundwork. He'll relocate entire rooms if the energy's off, persuading doubtful clients that old wisdom contains answers modern architecture keeps overlooking. His latest residential project converted sceptics. The real question isn't whether Vastu holds up. It's what happens when an architect respects it enough to make it central to his practice.
AI is rewriting cinemas future | Here's what most people miss about AI in filmmaking: it's not the technology that matters. Walk into any conversation about AI-generated films and you'll hear about rendering speeds, visual effects, and cost savings. But OnnStudios saw it differently. When they brought the story of Vishwamitra to the screen, they weren't thinking about what AI could do. They were thinking about what a thousand-year-old tale about transformation and truth could make us feel today. That shift, from capability to connection, changes everything.

Ghunghroo: There are cinematic moments that define the pulse of an era... and then there are rare occasions when an independent film, born of creative courage and cultural depth, finds itself standing shoulder to shoulder with cinematic royalty. Writer-director Garima Bhoria’s latest short film, Ghunghroo, has accomplished precisely that. Currently trending at No. 2 on WAVES OTT, it sits gracefully between Amitabh Bachchan’s Ek Mulakaat** and Shah Rukh Khan’s Fauji**... a feat as symbolic as it is spectacular.
When I, Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, TheGlitz, set eyes on Puneet Gupta’s latest minaudieres couture collection, The Gilded Folklore, it was clearly that this was not just a fashion launch... it was a super elegant royal amalgamation where every minaudière shimmered like a whispered secret from India’s royal past.
