When Nisha JamVwal of Nisha JamVwal Luxury hosts an event, expect nothing less than grandiose elegance. …And she lived up to that promise with her larger-than-life champagne soirée at Design POV, a stunning exposition that brought together the crème de la crème of the design and architectural community at Mumbai’s sprawling Jio Convention Centre. As Editor-in-Chief of TheGlitz.Media, I had the pleasure of being personally invited by Nisha for this design-forward affair… and what an unforgettable afternoon it turned out to be.
Design POV: A Celebration of Design and Thought
Design POV wasn’t just any other exhibition, it was curated with immense passion and a distinct vision. In fact, the event unites over 75 luxury home and interior brands, with 19 renowned design firms forming the Core Collective. This immersive platform dissolves the traditional boundaries between creators and consumers, weaving together the threads of design, art, architecture, and expression into a multi-sensory experience. From concept installations to artistic statements, every space pulsed with creativity and purpose.
Each brand showcased at Design POV was stylish, smart, and incredibly elegant. The attention to detail was immaculate… from statement lighting and minimalist furniture to bespoke décor that redefined luxury living. The credibility of these names added immense weight to the platform, turning it into a playground of inspiration for designers, stylists, and aesthetes alike.
Nisha JamVwal: A Visionary and A Hostess Extraordinaire
The event was a true reflection of Nisha JamVwal herself… warm, intellectual, artistic, and wildly glamorous. Dressed to perfection, Nisha was the gracious hostess she’s known to be, attending to each guest with warmth, ensuring everyone felt welcomed and valued. It’s rare to see someone of her stature take such personal interest in every detail, from the flow of the event to the comfort of her attendees.
Adding to the charm was Nisha’s lovely mother, whose elegance and gentle warmth made many hearts melt. Her affectionate interactions, peppered with wisdom and wit, made the afternoon feel like a warm, well-set family table… one that had designers, creatives, influencers, and connoisseurs all seated together.
Luxurious Indulgences and Eclectic Guests
What’s a design event without a bit of indulgence? The Luxury Lounge Hi-Tea was nothing short of decadent. From flutes of bubbly to an extravagant array of hors d’oeuvres, every bite was a celebration of taste and texture. The spread spoke of sophistication and taste… an impeccable match to the visual treats that surrounded us.
Among the many vibrant personalities, I had the pleasure of meeting was designer Rohit Verma, whose striking presence and flair for the dramatic brought an edge to the already buzzing venue. Ever the conversationalist, Rohit lit up every corner with his laughter and insights.
A highlight of the afternoon was meeting the Israeli Ambassador and his beautiful wife, whose poised presence and graciousness elevated the gathering even more. Their appreciation for art, culture, and design brought a touch of international glamour to the already dazzling crowd.
I also met the effervescent and chirpy Sameera Furkan, an influencer known for her infectious energy and vibrant style. She was joined by Asmita, another chic influencer, who brought her adorable daughter along… an absolute sweetheart who clearly has her mother’s fashion genes! Together, they added a playful, youthful vibe to the elegant setting.
The crowd was a fabulous mix… eclectic, stylish, and buzzing with creativity. Architects brushed shoulders with artists, influencers sipped champagne with business magnates, and design students took selfies with their icons. There was a shared sense of wonder, of being part of something significant and beautiful.
A Moment to Remember
As I left the venue, heart full and senses tingling, I couldn’t help but reflect on the brilliance of the afternoon. Design POV emerged not just as an event, but an immersive experience shaping the future of design. …And Nisha JamVwal, with her unwavering commitment to the arts, her gracious spirit, and her innate elegance, orchestrated a celebration that merged the world of design and dialogue with effortless finesse.
It was an afternoon of vision, style, and heartfelt interactions… and I, for one, felt privileged to be part of this luxurious, creatively charged journey.
