Jackky & Rakul: Power, poise, and perfect Surya Namaskars… Bollywood’s hottest fitness-forward duo just added another title to their name.

On the occasion of World Yoga Day, as the morning sun rose over a wellness-infused India, Jackky Bhagnani and Rakul Preet Singh stepped into the spotlight, not on a red carpet, but on the yoga mat. At New Delhi’s iconic Indira Gandhi Stadium, the duo was honoured by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with the title of ‘Fit India Couple’, …a recognition that celebrates not just their yoga asanas, but their life choices, where wellness meets glam with effortless grace. Naturally, TheGlitz is here for it!

Jackky & Rakul: Awarded & Loved

The accolade was presented by none other than Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, during the Fit India Cult Yogathon, a massive fitness event under the Fit India Movement, an initiative that has been inspiring millions across the country to swap sedentary for soulful.

And in true power-couple fashion, Jackky and Rakul weren’t just there to pose for the cameras. They were front and centre, joining over a million Indians in performing a synchronised series of Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutations). That’s right… one million salutations across the nation, in what was arguably the most energetic spiritual flex in recent memory.

In Delhi alone, more than 1,500 participants rolled out their yoga mats to flow through the ancient practice, guided by expert instructors, wrapped in the calm of Yoga Nidra, and uplifted by a soul-stirring music ensemble. For a morning event, it had all the gravitas of a sunrise concert, only this time, with a side of wellness and warrior poses.

Of course, for Jackky and Rakul, fitness isn’t a trending hobby… it’s a way of life. It’s baked into their routines, reflected in their social media reels, and, clearly, it’s something the Ministry has noticed.

Jackky and Rakul Fitness Say

“For me, yoga has always been more than just a way to stay healthy. It is a way of life that creates a balance between the body and mind. It reflects unity, our connection with nature, and a deeper sense of shared humanity. As a vital part of our cultural heritage, I have always seen it as a path to a more peaceful, centred, and fulfilling life,” says Jackky.

TheGlitz agrees. We’ve seen him hit the gym and produce blockbusters, but this moment reveals a deeper philosophy behind the physique.

Rakul, who regularly blends her glam outings with grounding wellness, echoed a similarly thoughtful sentiment… one that’s particularly resonant in a world where green juice and global warming now share space in the same sentence.

“I genuinely feel that our well-being is deeply connected to the environment around us. When we take care of nature, we’re also taking care of ourselves. That’s something yoga really helps us understand, it teaches us to live more mindfully, make better choices, and stay in tune with our surroundings. It is a simple practice, but its impact goes far beyond just fitness,” says Rakul.

Yoga for One Earth, One Health

With this year’s Yoga Day theme: ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, the conversation moves beyond headstands and hashtags. It’s about responsibility. About living well not just for the ‘gram but for the planet. …And both Jackky and Rakul seem to be perfectly in sync with this ethos, not just in practice but in principle.

Their presence at the Yogathon wasn’t just symbolic… it was energising. Inspiring. Proof that true fitness is not about chasing a six-pack, but about showing up, breathing deep, and understanding that wellness is a shared journey.

From glamorous film sets to mindful mats, Jackky and Rakul are redefining the narrative of modern celebrity: one that cares about alignment, not just in yoga poses, but in purpose. And as the sun sets on World Yoga Day, we at TheGlitz is left with the sense that this couple isn’t just fit… they’re fit for the future.
