The magnificent start of the Mumbai Festival 2024 was marked by the grand opening of the Maha Mumbai Expo at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC. Against the backdrop of rhythmic beats and the vibrant hues of cultural performances, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Shri Girish Mahajan and Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairperson of the Mumbai Festival Advisory Committee, unveiled the Maha Mumbai Expo in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of School Education and Marathi Language, Hon’ble Guardian Minister, (Mumbai City), Shri Deepak Kesarkar.

The inauguration set the stage for an enchanting spectacle, as the rhythmic beats of Dhol Tasha and the spirited dance of Lezim reverberated through the air during a captivating ribbon-cutting ceremony. A world of cultural delights was unveiled as the ribbons dropped and the rhythms resonated, guaranteeing an unmatched experience that skilfully combines history and contemporary.

The Maha Mumbai Expo is from January 20 to January 28, 2024, at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex and exhibits Maharashtra’s art, heritage, and timeless traditions between 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and 1pm to 10pm on weekends. Reconnect with the joy of traditional games at the Kreeda Experience Centre, where the echoes of age-old games reverberate, offering a dynamic embrace of Maharashtra’s cultural roots.
