Kanav, tell us who you are and what made you decide that the socialising world needed another revolution—especially one with an inner circle?

I’m someone who’s always valued real-world moments over online noise. No Names was born out of a very human need wanting company, not just conversation. I didn’t set out to “build a dating/ socialising app.” I wanted to fix a broken system that made people feel disposable. The inner circle? That’s not about elitist, it’s about creating a trusted space where people actually want to show up. Where elegance, intention, and safety aren’t optional.

You’ve built a “secret social-first platform” to curate your community. What’s the one trait that consistently surprises you about who makes the cut versus who doesn’t?

Self-awareness. It’s not about looks or followers. It’s about whether someone understands the vibe they bring into a space. The people who do surprisingly well on No Names are often those who don’t try too hard. They have something grounded about them, a quiet confidence, a sense of style, or just clarity about what they’re looking for.

Going from “I love coffee” to “let’s meet now” in 30 seconds sounds like a Prime Millennial’s dream, but are we losing something beautiful about the slow burn of getting to know someone?

Not really. The slow burn still exists; it just starts after the first meeting. We’re flipping the order. Instead of building a fantasy and getting let down in person, we let the energy speak first. A conversation over coffee reveals more than 30 texts ever could. No Names brings the human back into how we connect, not replaces it.

No Names promises to be “not really a dating app at all”. So, what exactly are you disrupting, and why did it take so long for someone to do it?

We’re disrupting the performance game bios, swipes, curated versions of yourself. No Names is about plans, not personas. You post a plan, go live, and people show up for that version of you. It took this long because dating/socialising apps became tech products, not human products. We designed this for the real world, not the algorithm.

Your platform caters to the “top 1%” while championing authenticity. How do you balance exclusivity with the genuine connections Cusp Gen craves?

We don’t confuse exclusivity with ego. For us, it’s about access with alignment. We’re curating a space for people who are thoughtful about where they go, who they meet, and how they spend their time. Cusp Gen craves realness — but they also crave spaces that feel intentional and safe. No Names filters out the noise, not the people. You can be an emerging creator or a CXO, what matters is how you show up, not what you flaunt. That’s the authenticity we stand by.

Unfortunately, yes. Online platforms gave people the illusion that disappearing was okay, that there’s no consequence to bad behaviour. No Names rewires that. If you’re seen, you’re accountable. If you’re live, you show up. And it’s working because decency, when enforced well, becomes culture.

No Names Black offers personalized luxury experiences for the ultra-selective. What does premium human connection look like, and can you put a price on chemistry?

Chemistry is priceless. But context isn’t. You can’t force connection but you can build the right setting for it. No Names Black is about designing those settings: global access, trusted profiles, quality-first plans, and people who respect your time. Premium here doesn’t mean champagne and limos, it means emotional intelligence, safety, and effort. That’s the new luxury.

You’ve integrated panic buttons and AI safety features. What convinced you that physical safety needed to be part of the romance equation?

Because emotional connection and physical safety can’t be separated anymore. Especially for women. The best experience is the one where you feel calm, respected, and protected – not just wanted. We built tech that respects that truth and actively works to uphold it, without being invasive.

Most social platforms try to keep users scrolling forever, yet you’re literally trying to get them offline and meeting in person. How do you build a business around people leaving your app?

Simple, we’re not selling time on screen. We’re selling time well spent. When people use No Names, they don’t browse, they act. That kind of engagement is sharper, more intentional, and ironically, more loyal. Our growth comes from quality, not quantity. Real plans, real outcomes, real loyalty.

How will No Names be a game changer for India’s digitally savvy Prime Millennials and Cusp Gen?
