When Mumbai’s queen of luxe-hosting, the stunning Nisha JamVwal, extends an invitation, you know you’re in for a night of grandeur. And this one was nothing short of spectacular. Hosted at the uber-luxe Jasmine Hall, Jio World Convention Centre, it was an evening woven in opulence, nostalgia, and sheer style. The occasion? None other than the super grand centenary celebration of Raymond, a brand that has not just clothed a nation but defined what it means to be truly Made in India.

The Raymond Centenary Experience

As I entered the shimmering venue, awash in gold and glamour, I was immediately swept into a world where tradition met technology, where legacies walked hand in hand with bold new futures. The air buzzed with an electric blend of old-world charm and modern flair, a perfect metaphor for Raymond’s 100-year journey.

What unfolded wasn’t just a celebration. It was a spectacle. A love letter to Indian enterprise. A standing ovation for craftsmanship that has stood the test of time.

Indeed, in a country teeming with start-ups and unicorns, very few can boast of a legacy that spans a century of trust, innovation, and excellence. And, how!

The Raymond Story

The Raymond story began in 1925, as a modest woollen mill. Fast forward to today, and it is a global powerhouse, a name synonymous with impeccable tailoring, elegant suiting, and now, a diversified empire that spans Real Estate, Engineering, Aerospace & Defence. No wonder, the company’s Centenary celebration was an occasion to honour not just a brand, but a legacy… a 100-year-old saga of style, substance, and the spirit of Indian enterprise that continues to inspire generations.

Starry Evening

Gautam Singhania

The crowd sparkled with who’s who from the business world, celebrity patrons, stalwart partners, and those who’ve been part of the Brand family through generations. At the heart of the evening was the charismatic Gautam Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director of Raymond Group, whose words echoed with emotion, pride, and purpose:

“A century is not just a milestone — it is a saga of endurance, innovation, and trust built over generations. While others measure time in quarters, we measure it in legacies. Our eyes are firmly set on the future, but our soul remains rooted in India’s progress. The Raymond of tomorrow will stand tall on the foundation of 100 years of excellence.”

As Gautam Singhania’s voice resonated through the hall, it was evident… this was more than a corporate celebration. It was India’s success story, and Raymond was its most elegant narrator.

100 Years of Quality

A historic highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the “100 Years of Raymond” commemorative postal stamp by Gautam Singhania and his gorgeous wife Nawaz Modi Singhania and others — a rare, poignant tribute marking the company’s extraordinary journey. In an age of fleeting trends, here was a tangible symbol of timeless legacy.

The evening sparkled on with the charismatic Ravi Shastri talking about his “Raymond” experience, dramatic performances, haute fashion moments, and cinematic storytelling. But it was the AI-generated short film that truly stunned the audience… a 3.5-minute visual masterpiece, seamlessly weaving Raymond’s past, present, and future into a breathtaking narrative. In a world racing towards digital, this was Raymond’s confident stride into the future.

Guests were also treated to an exclusive preview of two upcoming television campaigns, brimming with style, sentiment, and signature Raymond sophistication.

Raymond – Celebrating The Complete Man

From dressing India’s most memorable moments… first job interviews, wedding mandaps, power boardrooms… to expanding into real estate towers and engineering marvels, Raymond has redefined its boundaries while staying rooted in its core value: Excellence Without Compromise.

Today, the Raymond Group stands tall with a redefined structure, focused on three powerhouse verticals: Lifestyle, Real Estate, and Engineering. And if this soirée was anything to go by, the next century looks poised for even grander horizons.

TheGlitz & Glam

As I left the venue, my heart brimmed with pride… not just for a brand, but for what it stands for: India’s potential, passion, and poise. This wasn’t just a celebration. It was a century in style.

And Raymond? Forever a class apart!
