Beyond October

Beyond October: A Legacy of Strength and Spirit

For over a decade, Beyond October has stood as a glowing beacon of hope, strength, and sisterhood in the fight against cancer. Now in its 11th year, this extraordinary cancer awareness campaign, ably founded and spearheaded by Dubai-based senior journalist and media personality Manju Ramanan, continues to inspire, empower, and unite.

This year’s edition, themed “No One Walks Alone,” will take place at Daftar DIFC on October 30, 2025, and promises to be a deeply moving and uplifting celebration of courage and compassion. TheGlitz.Media who is also a proud media partner of Beyond October reports…

The Power of Partnership

Beyond October

What makes Beyond October a standout initiative is not just its message but the remarkable community that rallies behind it. The 2025 edition is generously supported by Daftar at DIFC, which opens its doors and its heart as the host venue. The campaign also finds strong allies in Innara by Guddi Bajaj, Playfield Entertainment, Enchanteur, JYK, and Teejay Packers, each contributing to the cause with a shared vision of awareness and empathy.

Adding to the initiative’s power are its media partners: Zee Group, 100.3 Talk FM, Khaleej Times Newspaper, and WKND Magazine – who amplify its message across the UAE and beyond. From India, Beyond October is supported by TheGlitz.Media, led by Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Sumita Chakraborty and Co-Founder & Special Niche Content Strategist, Rajeev Mokashi, underscoring how collective voices across borders can create an unbreakable chain of hope.

Voices That Heal, Stories That Inspire

The amazing Manju Ramanan, the heart & soul behind Beyond October

At the heart of Beyond October are the voices of women who have faced cancer with unmatched grace and grit. The platform encourages them to share their journeys — not just their struggles but their triumphs, resilience, and will to keep moving forward.

“Over the last decade of the campaign, we have lost a few cancer warrior friends such as Asma Nabeel and recently Sharon Baloche,” shares Manju Ramanan, “but we salute their indomitable spirit and their intense fight against cancer.” These stories remind us that while cancer may change lives, it cannot conquer the human spirit.

No One Walks Alone

This year’s theme, No One Walks Alone, beautifully captures the essence of the campaign. It shines a light not only on the warriors themselves but also on the family, friends, caregivers, and supporters who walk beside them, the unsung heroes who lend strength when it’s needed most. Together, they embody the true meaning of solidarity and compassion.

As Guddi Bajaj, founder of Innara and one of the campaign’s most steadfast supporters, says, “As the founder of Innara, I am deeply honored to support the Beyond October: ‘No One Walks Alone’ campaign for breast cancer awareness. This initiative holds special meaning for me, as it reflects our collective commitment. Together, we can turn awareness into action and support women on this journey.”

Her words echo the campaign’s core belief… that awareness, when coupled with empathy, can change lives.

A Space for Hope

For Isheeta Sharma, founder and owner of Daftar, hosting the event is a privilege. “The resilience and spirit of cancer warriors remind us what true strength looks like,” she says. “We’re proud to be a small part of a cause that celebrates hope and healing.”

The Daftar DIFC will transform into more than just a venue this time. It will become a sanctuary of stories, laughter, tears, and collective healing, where every voice matters and every experience resonates.

Beyond the Pink Month

While October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Beyond October lives up to its name and extends far beyond those thirty days. It is not just an event but a year-long initiative, keeping conversations alive, offering comfort and community, and celebrating survival and support all year through.

TheGlitz Verdict

In a callous, time-strapped world where awareness often fades once the spotlight dims, Manju Ramanan’s Beyond October stands tall as a movement that never stops glowing. This is not just a campaign that fades after the spotlight moves on… this is a celebration of humanity, resilience, and love.

Every handshake, every shared tear, every story told is a reminder that the journey through cancer is not a solitary one. It’s a collective walk… hand in hand, heart to heart… because, as Beyond October reminds us, year after year… No one walks alone!
