Your journey has had many momentous milestones. Could you tell us about the life-changing milestones that have moulded you to be what you are today?

One significant milestone that has greatly shaped my journey occurred with the establishment of Uniworks Designs in 2016. This marked the inception of a shared dream with my husband to craft spaces imbued with distinct narratives. Simultaneously, the arrival of our daughter in that same year introduced a fresh dimension, prompting me to navigate the delicate equilibrium between entrepreneurship and motherhood.

What are the setbacks you have faced? How did you tackle these setbacks or challenges? And what lesson have you learned from it?

Encountering setbacks is inevitable in any journey. A significant challenge I faced was establishing credibility as a woman in a male-dominated industry. To surmount this obstacle, I concentrated on highlighting our expertise through consistently delivering successful projects. This experience underscored the significance of perseverance and the importance of showcasing competence, particularly when met with skepticism. It taught me that overcoming such barriers requires steadfast determination and a commitment to proving oneself through tangible results. This journey of overcoming skepticism not only strengthened my resolve but also emphasized the importance of resilience and confidence in navigating professional challenges.

When you look back, what are the three qualities in you that have helped you become what you are today?

Upon reflection of my journey, three defining qualities emerge: resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to learning. Resilience served as my anchor during turbulent times, offering the strength to persevere through challenges. Adaptability proved instrumental in navigating the ever-changing landscape of diverse situations, allowing me to thrive in unfamiliar environments. Moreover, a steadfast dedication to continuous learning has been pivotal, fueling both – personal and professional growth. Embracing these qualities has not only shaped my path but also, fortified my capacity to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities. They serve as pillars upon which I continue to build, driving me towards ongoing development and achievement.

Who are the people who have been the wind behind your wings?

I am blessed with a supportive family, notably my husband, who has been a constant source of strength. Additionally, the Uniworks Designs team, our clients, and mentors have served as invaluable guides, offering diverse perspectives that have enriched my leadership journey. Their unwavering support and guidance have acted as the wind beneath my wings, propelling me forward through challenges and successes alike. Together, they form a robust network of encouragement and inspiration, fueling my determination and fostering growth. I am deeply grateful for their presence in my life, as their contributions have been instrumental in shaping my path and empowering me to reach new heights.

Lastly, if there was a quote to define you, what would it be?

“My resolve knows no bounds; I will persist until success is mine, for within the very fibers of my determination, surrender finds no place.”
