Some women build careers. Some build movements. And then there are women like Dr. Rekha Chaudhari, who are quietly transforming the way the world lives, heals, and connects — all while carrying the emotional strength and grace of motherhood at their core.

A globally respected wellness leader, author, humanitarian, and the visionary founder of World Digital Detox Day, Dr. Rekha Chaudhari has dedicated her life to creating a healthier, more emotionally conscious world. From championing digital wellness and preventive healthcare to empowering women and transforming the lives of rural youth, her journey is one driven not just by ambition, but by purpose.

But beyond the accolades, international recognition, and global impact lies the role that transformed her most deeply — being a mother.

For Dr. Rekha, motherhood was never separate from leadership; it became the foundation of it. It taught her that emotional presence matters more than perfection, that listening is more powerful than speaking, and that true success means creating lives filled with warmth, safety, and meaningful connection.

At a time when technology is rapidly reshaping human relationships, Dr. Rekha stands as a powerful voice reminding the world to pause, reconnect, and protect the emotional wellbeing of future generations. Through her global movement spanning 78 countries, she has inspired millions to embrace mindful living, digital balance, emotional wellness, and the importance of real human connection.

Yet what makes her journey truly inspiring is the balance she brings to every role she plays — wellness pioneer, changemaker, author, mentor, and mother. Her story is not about perfection; it is about resilience, compassion, and showing up every single day with intention and heart.

In a fast-moving world constantly demanding more from women, Dr. Rekha Chaudhari represents a new definition of strength — one rooted in mindfulness, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

And that is precisely what makes her a true TheGlitzMegaSuperMom 2026 — a woman leading a global movement while never losing sight of what matters most: humanity, family, and love.

Over To Dr. Rekha Chaudhari, Founder, World Digital Detox Day and Global Wellness Ambassador – India

Dr. Rekha

You wear a lot of different hats – mother, leader and achiever. Which role has surprised you the most? Why?

The most surprising thing was being a mother. You can become a leader and do things through discipline, education and experience, but being a mother changes you completely. It teaches you patience, emotional strength and unconditional love in a way that no award or recognition ever could. As a mom, I learned that kids learn from more than just what we say. They also learn from the energy we exude, the time we spend with them and the balance we have in our lives. That realization has made a massive impact on my personal life, and on my work around the world in digital wellness.

How do you find time to connect with your kids and take meaningful breaks in a world that prizes hard work?

I really do believe that “being there is the new luxury.” Families can be together today, but too many screens and too much digital information can make them feel far apart emotionally. I deliberately engineer “offline moments” with my kids by conversing with them, taking nature walks, sharing meals, traveling, praying, and simply being together without devices. These breaks are no longer the little things; they are emotional investments. And I want families all over the world to come back together in person on World Digital Detox Day.

What is one life lesson that being a mother has taught you that no business school or boardroom could ever teach you?

Being a mom taught me emotional intelligence is more important than intellectual intelligence. Kids don’t remember your titles, meetings or charts of how well you are doing. They remember if you heard them, if you understood them, if you made them feel safe. That lesson changed my thinking about leadership, health and people in general. It’s a real strength to be kind and accepting of the feelings of others.

Could you tell us a little about your work?

Wellness, preventive healthcare, women’s empowerment, and how people engage with technology have been big parts of my journey. Over the years, I have learned that technology has brought people together, but it has also quietly pulled families apart, created stress, made people addicted to their devices, and created an imbalance in life. That concern became the reason I lived my life.

I am the Founder of World Digital Detox Day and Global Wellness Ambassador – India. I began working to raise awareness about digital balance, digital fasting, emotional health, mindful technology use and bringing people back together. What began as a health awareness campaign has blossomed into a worldwide peace movement now underway in 78 countries and uniting millions of people, schools, teachers, wellness communities, organizations and families from around the globe.

But the most important thing I’ve done in my journey is working to protect childhoods and getting people to use technology in a healthier way. This mission and its message of living mindfully and being emotionally healthy has reached more than 30 million people worldwide through awareness campaigns, educational activities, digital fasting initiatives, research and global outreach programs.

Another way I have seen my work change lives is through helping over 2,000 tribal and rural youth get healthier, learn new skills and find jobs. A lot of these young people were trained and armed with the tools to pursue successful careers in wellness. And this changed their lives and their families’ lives for the better.”

Research and learning have been very important to my journey as well. We received requests from academics around the world to speak at schools such as Harvard University and the University of Oxford about our work and publications on wellness and digital wellbeing. I have also written ‘500 Women of Wellness’, one of the first books in India that brings together and celebrates women leaders in the wellness industry.

“I have worked hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to bring together wellness professionals, wellness associations and communities to raise awareness on mental resilience, emotional wellbeing, immunity and preventive health. I was honored to be called as a COVID Warrior for these contributions.

As I look back on my journey today, I see more than just awards and accomplishments. I see lives changed, women empowered, childhoods saved, youth happier… A global movement growing towards a healthier and more aware future. Above all else, being a mother has provided me with the emotional strength and inspiration to continue on this journey.

What three words would your kids use to describe you? What would you like them to know?

I think they would say caring, strong, busy.

But I hope they say present, loving and inspiring.

I want my children to remember me as I was to them – not just for what I did, but for how I made their lives warm, full of values, and full of memories worth remembering.

What does it mean to be “TheGlitzMegaSuperMom 2026” in the present day? Is it perfection, resilience, reinvention or something else?

For me it’s about being a mindful mother. Moms today have so much on their plates, between their jobs, emotional needs, technology issues, family health and societal expectations. You can not be perfect, but you can be good and strong. A true modern supermom is someone who still cares for people, values and emotional connections in a fast changing world.
