This National Tourism Day, we asked the gorgeous Celina Jaitly about Austria, where she currently resides. The much-traveled Celina is not only a fantastic actor – in fact, producers and directors have seen just the tip of the iceberg of her acting prowess and should seriously have a second look at her as her acting prowess, especially in comedy is truly amazing. She is also the UN Equality Champion, social activist, prolific writer and so much more. Not to forget that Celina has also won the Miss India pageant and was also the Miss Universe runners-up.

Well, we asked Celina about Austria and she told us: “I grew up in Kashmir, Arunachal and the Kumaon hills and a part of me always craved to go back amongst the mountains, the only place I felt at home. Being married to an Austrian gave me the opportunity to make the magical alpine estate in the mountains of Steiermark in Austria, my home. Here, the sky seems bluer, the grass more greener, and the snow, whiter.

“A peek through my window is like living inside a Christmas postcard. The people here are people of the land… they love, conserve and protect their nature, and nature in turn, grants unbelievable magic for children to grow up in and people to fall in love. My gym is hiking up the mountains, skiing and Langlaufen… my meditation is looking at the snow falling silently on fir trees or cherry blossoms blooming in spring… I am so grateful for my adopted homeland as it feels like I am nearer to God.”

Beautiful! Celina’s words on Austria are as beautiful as the lady, right?
