Varchas Whiskey Shines Gold and Silver

Just last week, we featured Varchasvi Shankar, Founder of Shankar Distillers, who shared his passion for introducing American Bourbon and Rye whiskies to Indian enthusiasts. Varchas Whiskey has already earned two international awards since its launch—two stars at the Spirit of Craft Awards in Singapore and two gold medals at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Now, the brand has even more reason to celebrate. Varchas Whiskey is thrilled to announce its outstanding achievements at the prestigious ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge 2024. Recognised as one of the premium platforms for uniting the country’s alcohol industry, this competition honours the finest spirits and wines, further solidifying Varchas Whiskey’s excellence in the field. Cheers to that!

The winners were announced at a glittering ceremony where Varchasvi’s products shone brightly. The distinguished panel awarded the coveted Gold Medal to Varchas Straight Bourbon Small Batch, while Varchas Detroit Reserve Blended Whiskey received the Silver Medal. Selected from a wide pool of global competitors, these accolades are a testament to the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that define the Varchas Whiskey brand.

Reflecting on this momentous achievement, Mr. Varchasvi Shankar, Founder of Varchas Whiskey, said, “Winning a Gold Medal for our Straight Bourbon Small Batch is an incredible honour, and the Silver for our Detroit Reserve Blended Whiskey makes it even more special. These awards recognise the passion and dedication that we put into every bottle, and they inspire us to continue crafting exceptional spirits. This recognition from such a respected global platform reinforces our commitment to blending tradition with innovation, and it motivates us to keep pushing the boundaries of quality.”
