Dressed in a bespoke, Rimple & Harpreet White Couture Saree, Alia Bhatt dazzled in white at the Berlin Film Festival. In fact, both Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt wore Rimple & Harpreet for the screening of Gangubai Kathawadi.

Alia of course dazzled. Making an appearance in a pristine white saree from Rimple & Harpreet, Alia Bhatt looked gorgeous at the screening of Gangubai Kathiawadi at Berlin Film Festival.

Designed For Alia

For this special appearance, designer duo Rimple & Harpreet envisioned Alia Bhatt in a pristine ivory silk chiffon saree, keeping the thematic essence of Gangubai in mind as well as creating a look that was a modern classic. Alia is a powerhouse of talent; one of the most stunning actresses of her generation and it was an out-and-out joy for the label to design this very special saree for her.

The Perfect Look

It took many man hours and a team of master karigars to complete the saree which features delicate handcrafted embroideries referenced from archival Edwardian and French Lace Shawls. The embroideries were rendered using jaali-work, shadow embroidery, silk floss threads, mother-of-pearl paillettes, hand-cut sequins, and imported pearls of varying sizes. The scalloped palla was finished off with a hand-knotted silk dori macramé fringe. The look was complemented with a handcrafted minaudière and a plush lamé-pashmina shawl with pearl-work borders to ward off the Berlin chill.

Designed For Sanjay Leela Bhansali

For Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rimple & Harpreet decided to stay true to his inherent understated elegance and came up with a tonal black sherwani that features an all-over tessellated texture derived from sacred geometry. It was paired with a classic ivory kurta and pants.

“It was an absolute pleasure to design for Mr. Bhansali & Alia Bhatt for the screening of Gangubai Kathiawadi at the Berlin film festival. Though we regularly style celebrities on the red carpet and movies, this was special because the entire ensemble for Alia has been created exclusively for the screening, keeping her personal style & comfort in consideration. A full team of skilled karigars worked day and night to create the saree in record time.” Says Rimple Narula of Rimple & Harpreet

He did it again! That's right, Kartik Aaryan is making super-spicy headlines, and again, it's not for the right reasons... Indeed, TheGlitz says, if Bollywood had a syllabus titled How to Become Viral Without Saying a Word, Kartik Aaryan would currently be its most discussed case study. It all began, as most modern-day controversies do, not with a statement or a sighting but with a Goa whisper, a few blurry social media breadcrumbs, and the internet’s favourite sport: connecting dots that may or may not exist. Somewhere between sun-soaked beaches, sightings, and speculative screenshots, Bollywood's headliner Kartik found himself at the centre of a spiralling narrative...
It all began with the charismatic man-about-town Mario Ferreira leaning in and saying, “You have to listen to Tammy & Roy.” And once we did? There was no going back. There’s a quiet revolution happening in India’s travel landscape — one that doesn’t just involve humans with suitcases, but furry co-pilots with wagging tails and curious whiskers. Pets are no longer left behind when families embark on vacations or trips; they’re being packed into cars, carried on flights, and included in holiday itineraries the way newborns once were. But while demand is skyrocketing all across the world, India’s hospitality industry is a tad slow... and is still catching up — and here’s why Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz believes that the time has come for a pet-friendly makeover in India.
