Your career spans diverse fields, from Ernst & Young to co-founding a gaming enterprise and then entering the healthcare sector. What inspired you to pivot towards fertility care, and how did your experience at Adiva shape the foundation of RISAA IVF?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: My journey from Ernst & Young and co-founding a gaming enterprise to the healthcare sector was shaped by a deep desire to create lasting change. Working at Adiva opened my eyes to the emotional and physical challenges that many couples face when trying to have a child. I realized that fertility care had the power to transform lives in a remarkably positive way. This led me to co-found RISAA IVF, where we combine the expertise from my varied experiences with a mission to provide accessible and compassionate care, aiming to help at least one child per couple.

Infertility is often considered a social stigma, especially for women. How is RISAA IVF working to break societal misconceptions and provide emotional as well as medical support to couples facing infertility challenges?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: At RISAA IVF, we believe that infertility is not a personal failing, but a medical condition that deserves understanding and support. We are actively working to break the stigma by creating a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where couples feel comfortable sharing their struggles. Our team focuses on providing both medical expertise and emotional support, ensuring that each couple receives personalized care throughout their journey. By promoting awareness, educating the public, and fostering an open dialogue, we aim to eliminate misconceptions and offer hope to those facing infertility challenges.

With RISAA IVF now having a network of over 14 clinics across India and Nepal, what have been the key factors that have enabled such significant expansion, and how do you ensure quality care across all centers?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: Our growth to over 14 clinics in India and Nepal is our strong commitment to providing great care and building trust with our patients. The main factors behind our success include a skilled team, the latest technology, and making fertility treatments available to more people. To maintain high-quality care at all centers, we ensure that our staff receives regular training, follow clear guidelines, and conduct regular checks. Our focus is on giving every patient the best possible care and helping them achieve their dream of starting a healthy and happy family.

The mission of “Atleast one child per couple” is both inspiring and ambitious. Can you share some of the most significant milestones or success stories from your journey at RISAA IVF that have contributed to this vision?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: One of the most memorable experiences we had was with a couple who had been struggling with infertility for over 20 years. Despite their efforts, they had not been able to conceive, but with our support, they finally became parents after such a long journey. Another touching moment was when a newly married couple came to us after being advised to undergo IVF within a year of their marriage. After conducting extensive testing, we discovered that there were no underlying issues, and the couple conceived naturally without the need for any procedure.

Fertility treatments can be emotionally and financially taxing for many couples. How does RISAA IVF ensure affordability and accessibility to a wide range of patients, especially in underserved areas?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: At RISAA IVF, we understand that fertility treatments can be financially and emotionally challenging. That’s why we offer flexible EMI options and even provide loans for fertility treatments at 0 percent interest. Additionally, we offer free IVF treatments for 25couples below the poverty line every year. We strive to make our services affordable without compromising on quality. We also set up clinics in smaller towns and provide telemedicine consultations to reach underserved areas. Our mission is to ensure that every couple, no matter their financial situation, has the opportunity to fulfill their dream of parenthood.

What are the future goals for RISAA IVF, and how do you see the fertility landscape evolving in the next decade with advances in medical technology and societal changes?

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi: At RISAA IVF, our goal is to continue providing compassionate, high-quality fertility care while expanding our services to reach more couples. We are committed to staying at the forefront of medical advancements, integrating the latest technologies to improve success rates and make treatments more accessible. In the next decade, we see the fertility landscape evolving significantly due to advancements in genetic testing, AI, and personalized treatments. Societal shifts, including increased awareness and inclusivity for single individuals and LGBTQ+ families, will foster greater support. These advancements will ultimately improve access, reduce stigma, and enhance outcomes for those facing infertility.
