Prawaal Raman and Randeep Hooda Reunite for Thriller Film ‘Sergeant’

After the success of their previous collaboration, ‘Main Aur Charles,’ writer and director Prawaal Raman have teamed up once again with the talented actors Randeep Hooda and Adil Hussain for their upcoming film, ‘Sergeant.’

Directed by the renowned filmmaker Prawaal Raman, known for his contributions to Hindi cinema, ‘Sergeant’ promises to be a gripping cinematic experience. Raman has previously helmed notable films such as ‘Darna Mana Hai,’ ‘Gayab,’ ‘Darna Zaroori Hai,’ ‘Dobara’ and ‘404.’ His collaboration with Hooda and Hussain is expected to deliver a captivating narrative. The film brings together a talented ensemble cast, including Randeep Hooda, Adil Hussain, Sapna Pabbi, and marks the return of Arun Govil who is known as Indian film industry’s Lord Ram will be playing the role of Randeep’s father in the film. With such accomplished actors on board, ‘Sergeant’ is set to elevate the intensity and provide a riveting performance.

When asked about working with Randeep and Adil again he said, “Randeep is not just an actor for me but more like a teacher. It’s a very difficult character to play and needed the best. Only Randeep could have used his passion and dedication to another level and it needed that brilliance. For Adil, Yes this is my 4th film with Adil. His approach towards life and his craft is a learning experience for me. His pious approach makes any character the most real.”

Apart from his work in the film industry, Prawaal Raman prefers to keep a low profile and limit his social interactions to a close circle. Despite his private nature, Raman has been keeping himself busy with various projects. He has written five scripts, directed two films, and currently has three projects under production. A short film titled ‘Love you papa’ written & directed by Raman won the Silver Dolphin Award at Cannes in 2017.
One of Raman’s scripts, titled ‘Judge,’ won recognition at a prestigious American Film festival in the Feature category. Out of 3000 film scripts, ‘Judge’ emerged victorious. This upcoming film will be an international co-production and is set to begin production soon, offering audiences another compelling story from Raman’s creative mind.

The collaboration between Prawaal Raman, Randeep Hooda, and Adil Hussain in ‘Sergeant’ has created high expectations among fans since its trailer launch. The film’s thrilling storyline, combined with the talent and dedication of the cast and director, promises an unforgettable cinematic experience. Audiences can look forward to the release of ‘Sergeant’ on June 30, 2023, exclusively on JioCinema.
