Queenie Singh

You are not just a dynamic fashion connoisseur, you are also an amazing jewellery designer, entrepreneur, holistic beauty champion and so much more. So what defines you as a woman?

I have held my own in life and have competed with myself. My path or journey may not have been thorn-free or without challenges. But I have never let setbacks be hurdles in my life. I have always kept discipline and consistency in my routine. I see my goal and I go towards it. Stumbles may come along the way… But I consider them part of my journey. …And I always find a way to steer myself out of those thorny challenges. My maxim is simple. ‘I don’t believe that anything can stop you if you are headed to a goal and you have the resolute’. For me, what defines me is pretty much that I respect the lessons I have learned in my life. I learn from my challenges, setbacks and mistakes. I don’t think of them as something that is negative, I think of them as something that teaches me and spurs me on my future course. I always think the sky is the limit and I always look toward reaching the stars.

Any quote to define you?

I’d say, ‘Never say die!’

TheGlitz, captivated by this stirring celebration of active ageing and resilience, reports...
Two Royal College of Art alumni, Abhijna Vemuru Kasa and Insha Manzoor, explore skin and thread at Dhoomimal Gallery. Abhijna paints on bodies, using performance photography to question how femininity is seen, while Insha works with Kashmiri embroidery and weaving, turning craft into a carrier of memory. Together, they ask how women's stories get told, and who gets to tell them.
On a beautiful, slightly balmy December evening in Mumbai, the spirit of the Maldives arrived not by sea, but through culture, conversation and craft. I, Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz, was invited to an intimate, thoughtfully curated soirée hosted by Sun Siyam Resorts, as the proudly Maldivian hospitality group brought its 35th anniversary celebrations to the city — marking a pivotal moment in its evolving global story.
Right where Bollywood’s emotional heartbeat meets the OTT revolution and India’s electric creator economy, stands a multi-faceted man... Gaurav Dagaonkar... composer, Co-Founder, CEO, risk-taker, and now one of the country’s most influential voices in music-tech. His latest track, Saali Mohabbat — released just a few days ago — has already stirred up conversations, not only for its sound but for the poetic irony of its journey: the song that once captured a feeling now inspires the title of Tisca Chopra’s debut OTT directorial.
