Byg Brewski, the flagship microbrewery in Bengaluru, which occupies a vast 65,000 square feet, held its yearly ‘Christmas Country Brunch’ with a massive party twist that gave the celebration extra oomph, pzazz and a certain je ne sais quoi.

Venue & Atmosphere

The alfresco setting made the gathering all the more joyful. With tall and tiny Christmas trees, vibrant decorations, and sparkling lights, the brunch party area was wonderfully adorned to evoke the atmosphere of a wintry secret garden complete with a pond where ducks and geese were joining in on the festivities.

Amid the hustle and bustle, families and friends gathered to savour an alluring selection of sweet and savoury delicacies. Offering tidings of joy and a comfortable Christmas season was Sumeet Brahmawar, Guest Experience Manager, who, along with her competent team, ensured guests were having a grand time.

“Christmas is one of the biggest days of the year for us. We love watching our guests come together and feast with their families – in the true spirit of Christmas. And we have curated a special menu to make this day immensely memorable.”

Food & Drink

The food menu was brimming with winter-inspired delights. A vast array of delectable small plates, larger mains, rustic sides, and sharing platters with influences from Indian, oriental, continental, Mediterranean, and eastern cuisine, with an emphasis on popular recipes, were re-imagined with a contemporary twist on traditional ingredients.

The wide choice of well-liked beers, such as Byg Rauch, Hefeweizen, and Coffee Chocolate Bitter, was flowing like water. The well-stocked bar, which had an outstanding assortment of beverages including wine, gin, vodka, rum, and whisky, complemented the dining experience. For non-alcoholics, there was hot cocoa.

Setting the tone for the gathering of a Christmassy brunch was a huge table laid with tidbits of delicious nibbles, from fruits and berries to salted nuts, crispy crackers, olives, cold cuts, veggies, and an assortment of cheeses, all arranged on a festive Christmas charcuterie board. A “Christmas Wreath” made of carefully placed herbs across the table was separated with plenty of bread options, sourdough, and other kinds of dips and cream cheese spreads.

Mains & Desserts

Freshly sliced turkey roast, smoked ham with roast potatoes, and cranberry sauce-topped veggies were all on the menu. Pan Asian cuisine, bread pizzas, burgers, and creamy pasta were among the options. There’s nothing quite like the taste of meat that has been grilled over an open flame. Flame-grilled meat counters were serving smoked and grilled corn, sweet potatoes, and melt-in-your-mouth kababs. The buffet section had a choice of rice, rotis, dal, fish curry, chicken curry, mutton biryani, beef fry, and many more dishes. It was simply divine.

The dessert section had an amazing and delectable display that was to die for. Cakes, chocolates, tarts, mousses, cheesecakes, gulab jamuns, ice creams, and even cupcakes were all available in multiple flavours.

Dance & Music

The live band’s performance was thrilling, to say the least, with DJs rocking out exuberant rock and roll numbers and popular Christmas songs. The live acoustic performances, which ranged from lively rhythms to mellower tones and serene melodies, had the audience grooving to timeless tunes by artists such as Boney M, Bee Gees, The Beatles, and the like.

Kid-Friendly Activities

Not to be left behind, a separate kid section was set up with a ton of entertaining activities for the younger crowd. For a full day of involvement, they had planned encouraging and motivating activities including clay modelling, hula hoop performances, sketching, and pottery making. A sweet distraction to keep kids busy and entertained.

Christmas Day is all about spending time together with good friends, family, and loved ones. As “one of the best places for Christmas brunch in Bengaluru,” Byg Brewski intensifies the celebration of festivity and merriment in style, and we thoroughly enjoyed the brunch.
