Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss has always been known for its high drama, emotional rollercoasters, and strategic play, but this time, Bigg Boss season 18, the show seems to have crossed the line into outright manipulation. What started as a battle of wits has turned into a dark web of bias, favoritism, and behind-the-scenes influences.

The manipulation has left viewers questioning the authenticity of the competition, with the spotlight especially falling on two contestants: Vivian Dsena and Karan Veer Mehra. While the show anchored by the iconic Salman Khan deliberately painted Vivian as the “ladla” (favorite), the real game seemed to be in Karan’s favor all along. TheGlitz reports.

Vivian Dsena manipulated by Bigg Boss?

From the start, Bigg Boss carefully crafted a narrative where Color’s face Vivian was portrayed as the untouchable favorite, leading other housemates and even viewers to believe he was protected. But as the season unfolded, it became clear that this was all a distraction. The real “ladla” was Karan Veer Mehra, also one of Color’s faves, who moved forward in the game with minimal challenges. The show’s subtle favoritism towards Karan was evident, but it was hidden behind the smoke and mirrors of Vivian’s “ladla” storyline.

Manipulated Karan Veer Show?

Supposedly even in Khatron Ke Khiladi, Karan Veer Mehra was propelled rather comfortably up to the finale to become the winner. Other deserving contestants were pushed out rather conveniently. In fact, Karan Veer himself says that Asim Riaz if he had not lost his cool, he may have been in Karan’s shoes. Karan, of course, didn’t mention that he was the one who instigated the “always triggered” Asim.

Now in Bigg Boss, it is very evident that the ‘Mitti Ka Tel” instigator Karan is not only getting more screen time, he also had Jio Cinema showcasing “A tribute To Karan Veer Mehra”. In fact, even hosts like Farah Khan who had filled Salman Khan’s shoes for a “Weekend Ka Vaar” made the entire episode “The Karan Veer Show” – screaming at contestants for badmouthing Karan, firing contestants who nominated Karan Veer even to the extent of making up a hashtag of “#ungratefulEdin” when she nominated Karan Veer after he carried her on his back for four hours. That, by the way, was a task.

Bigg Boss Toyed with Avinash Mishra

The bias took a darker turn when Bigg Boss realised that the audience was getting wise to their “Karan Veer” manipulations, so they toyed with Avinash Mishra for some time, triggering him into nominating his own group member Vivian. The emotional manipulation here was clear, as Bigg Boss capitalized on bonds for the sake of drama.

Avinash, caught in the crossfire, was further drawn into the show’s web with the introduction of the flirtatious Kashish Kapoor, sparking tension and adding layers to his storyline. Yet, despite all the emotional upheaval surrounding Avinash and Vivian, the show’s focus quickly shifted back to their real “ladla,” Karan, who sailed through largely unscathed even after instigating, abusing, threatening to ruin Baggaji’s career and of course, icing on the cake, roughly pushing the troubled Sara Arfeen Khan during a task.

Bigg Boss Manipulations

Not only Karan, they got his entire group “finale ready”. After firing Chum from the post of Time God, Bigg Boss made Shruthika Arun the ‘sanchalak’ again knowing fully well her priority is Chum Darang and no matter what, she’d make Chum the Time God – and that would catapult Chum comfortably into the 14th week.

Chum’s unremarkable gameplay – except for her Karan Veer and her love angle, and her Shruthika and her volatile friendship – didn’t make her deserving of such protection, especially when more deserving contestants were left out in the cold. Shruthika’s bias was undeniable, and her decision raised eyebrows. Though the show never explicitly stated it, the closeness between Shruthika and Chum sparked speculation.

No wonder, Karan Veer, Shilpa, and Chum’s journey to the finale felt preordained. Shilpa, despite her inconsistent gameplay, remained untouched by controversy or eliminations, while Karan Veer continued his smooth run, making it clear who the true favorite was. Shruthika’s decision to shield Chum from elimination only deepened the narrative of favoritism, leaving viewers disillusioned and frustrated by the blatant bias at play.

Disappointing!

What could have been a nail-biting, strategic contest looks as if it has turned into a stage-managed spectacle where Bigg Boss pulls the strings. Shilpa’s emotional manipulation, Shruthika’s questionable choices, and the underlying favoritism towards Karan Veer have made this season feel more like a scripted drama than a reality competition.

Rigged Show?

Bigg Boss 18, once celebrated for its unpredictability, now feels rigged in favor of certain players. The pretense of fairness has been shattered, and the audience feel that they are left watching a predetermined storyline where the true game happens off-screen. The show’s narrative, carefully crafted to distract with Vivian’s “ladla” label, ultimately revealed the real plan: pushing Karan Veer Mehra toward an almost inevitable victory, leaving everyone else merely as supporting players in this scripted reality.

So will Bigg Boss blatantly make Karan Veer the winner? Only time will tell…
