Jayant Singh

Mr Jayant Singh, congratulations, we’ve heard so much about the Treehouse properties and we can’t wait to see it for ourselves. How did the journey with Treehouse start for you?

Treehouse Hotels & Resorts – a brand owned by Karma Hospitality LLP is a multidimensional company with a rich and diverse experience of operating and managing full-scale hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, villas and Caravan Park. I, (Mr. Jayant Singh, Managing Partner, Treehouse Hotels and Resorts) have more than 25 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, and have co-founded Karma Hospitality LLP with Ankur Gupta of Ashiana Housing Ltd. in 2007 which owns the “Treehouse” brand of hotels. The inception of the company came about when we had an opportunity to pitch for an upcoming project in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan). We were fortunate to get the first management contract for Ashiana Developers first venture into hotels. We started with our first hotel in Bhiwadi known as “Treehouse Hotel Club and Spa”.

Now, the company operates with a team of experienced professionals drawn from reputed Indian and International brands. Karma forayed into management of hotels in 2007 and currently manages more than 750 keys in 23 hotels and with an employee strength of 600 plus across locations of Delhi NCR, Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Jodhpur, Goa, Himachal, Amritsar, Mathura, Barsana and Govardhan.

What is the USP of Treehouse properties?

At our company, we take great pride in our service philosophy of “Service Dil-Se “ which means that we approach every interaction with our guests from the heart. This philosophy is at the core of everything we do, and it drives us to go above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. We also recognize that value is important for our guests which is why we offer value pricing. We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy a memorable experience so we work towards keeping our prices competitive without sacrificing quality. Overall, our commitment to “Service Dil-Se “, our creativity in providing unique guest interactions and our value pricing all together create truly exceptional experiences. We are proud to be known for our outstanding service and look forward to continuing to exceed our guests’ expectations at every turn. As the “Best Value Leisure Chain”, we believe in creating memories for our guests through our service philosophy “Service Dil Se!”. We have curated hotels, resorts, apartments and villas across India to suit the choice of property, experiences and locations for our guests. With our 23 hotels, we offer a choice of stay for individuals and families alike.

If you had to list, what are the three biggest selling pointers that make Treehouse properties stand out?

At Treehouse, we have managed to create a value leisure brand, which can cater to any accommodation preference of the guest. Before taking over a hotel under our brand, we first try to discern what unique proposition we can offer to our guests. In Goa, we have hotels across geographies and spectrums. Listed below are the few initiatives undertaken by the brand which stand out from the rest:

  1. Caravan Parks: Alternate accommodation is the buzzword. Treehouse has given it a completely unique twist and plans to set up 20 caravan parks in 5 years at different locations that are at drivable distance from Delhi since Millennials are seeking more experiential vacations. To begin with, these parks will be developed at locations where Treehouse already has a presence like Neemrana, Achrol, Ranthambore and Jodhpur and then at other destinations along the way. The first of such kind of park is already operational in Neemrana.
  2. Training Videos: Treehouse has developed training videos for the Housekeeping and F&B staff working at its hotels. The workforce is given access to these videos on a digital platform specially created and thereafter the corporate team visits the hotel to meet the teams and assess their training needs. During the pandemic, we realized that there will be a shortfall of skilled workforce in the hospitality sector post-pandemic; therefore, I conceptualized, produced and directed these videos along with my corporate team. These training videos have been developed in-house totally.
  3. Fractional Ownership: going forward fractional ownership is going to be the way forward for large projects that will help owners maximize their ROI in a project.

Post-pandemic, has there been any dent in the market as I am told practically all hotels and resorts suffered huge losses during Covid times. Did Treehouse properties have any unique selling proposition to survive and stand out?

In the face of the Covid pandemic, we acted quickly and adapted our selling strategy and hotel offerings to better serve our guests. By pivoting towards smaller weddings, we were able to reach break-even points and keep our business afloat. Additionally, we provided our entire team with specialized training to better cater to different market segments. However, what truly sets us apart was the dedication and selflessness of our staff, who worked tirelessly to serve the community. Our kitchens prepared and distributed packed meals to those in need throughout the city. Also, our business partners generously provided cabs for delivery. This experience was overwhelming for all of us, and also it highlighted our commitment to service. By putting others first and living our philosophy of “Service Dil-Se “, we were able to create a unique and valuable service edge.

What are your future plans?

Our company is experiencing significant growth across various segments and locations. We are proud to announce that we have expanded our distribution strength, enabling us to serve our customers more effectively and efficiently. With this enhanced capability, we are confident that we will continue to see robust growth in the year ahead. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality products and services to our customers. Also, we believe that our increased distribution strength will allow us to do even better. We are excited about the future and look forward to continuing to serve our customers with excellence.

For all fab properties, We give our exclusive ‘TheGlitz superstar’ tag, what makes Treehouse properties so good that we would give it our treasured TheGlitz superstar tag?

You will have to experience all of them and let us know. I have a feeling you will have a problem choosing one. Sorry for my modesty 🙂
