Vaibhav Karnavat, Founder & CEO, House of Quadri

In a world where luxury is no longer confined to grand occasions but woven seamlessly into the fabric of everyday life, Vaibhav Karnavat, Founder & CEO, House of Quadri is quietly redefining what it means to own something truly precious.

As the Founder & CEO, House of Quadri, Vaibhav Karnavat truly believes that today, House of Quadri stands at the intersection of couture sensibility and contemporary relevance, where fine jewellery is no longer reserved for vaults and velvet boxes, but designed to move, breathe, and live with its wearer.

At the heart of this evolution lies a powerful shift… from exclusivity as rarity to exclusivity as meaning. Today’s luxury consumer, especially the younger, more intuitive buyer, is less interested in being told what’s valuable and more inclined to define it for themselves. And House of Quadri is listening. With designs that transition effortlessly from boardroom to brunch, and from heirloom inspiration to modern layering, the brand is embracing a philosophy where jewellery becomes an extension of identity rather than an accessory for occasion.

Here, Vaibhav Karnavat’s vision reflects a deeper cultural movement… one where couture and fine jewellery are no longer separate silos but part of a fluid, expressive lifestyle. It’s about creating pieces that are instinctively reached for, worn without ceremony, and cherished not just for their craftsmanship but for the emotion they evoke.

In an exclusive interview with Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, TheGlitz, Vaibhav Karnavat, Founder & CEO, House of Quadri, decodes the rise of everyday luxury, the influence of a new-age consumer, and why the future of luxury isn’t louder… it’s more personal, present, and profoundly felt.

Over To Vaibhav Karnavat, Founder & CEO, House of Quadri

Luxury is clearly moving beyond occasion wear into everyday expression — how is House of Quadri adapting to this shift without diluting its couture DNA?

Couture DNA has moved beyond the occasion, it ‘s about the feeling of wearing something truly personal. We’re just making sure that feeling is available on a Tuesday morning, not just a Saturday night.

Fine jewellery is no longer being “saved” for special moments — how are you reimagining design to make it more wearable, versatile, and relevant for daily luxury?

We stopped designing for the shelf and started designing for the life. If a piece can’t move with you — through a meeting, a meal, a quiet walk — it hasn’t earned its place yet.

Today’s younger consumers are rewriting the rules of luxury — how has their mindset influenced your approach to design, storytelling, and even pricing?

They don’t want to be told what’s precious, they already know. Our job is to match their instincts, not educate them out of it.

Do you see a blurring of lines between couture and fine jewellery, where both categories start complementing each other as part of a larger lifestyle offering?

Yes certainly, the blur is the point. When a woman builds an outfit the way she builds a feeling intuitively, personally — jewellery and clothing stop being separate decisions.

Traditionally, luxury has been about exclusivity — now it’s also about personal expression. How do you strike that balance between rarity and relatability?

Rarity used to live in the material, now it lives in the meaning. Something can be deeply personal and still be rare — those two things were never in conflict.

With consumers becoming more experimental, are you seeing a shift in how jewellery is styled — perhaps layered, mixed, or even paired unconventionally with couture?

Absolutely. The most interesting styling choices we see are layers across all categories such as bracelets, necklaces and rings. People are trusting their personal style and mixing things whether it is with existing watches, heirloom products or modern design expressions.

Looking ahead, do you believe the future of luxury lies more in emotional connection and everyday relevance rather than just occasion-driven purchases — and how is House of Quadri positioning itself for that change?

We’ve always believed the most valuable thing a piece can do is make you feel something — not just mark something. That’s not a shift we’re responding to. It’s what we were built on. Luxury is finally catching up to what it was always meant to be — personal, present, and felt every day. At HOQ, we design for the pieces you reach for without thinking, the ones you don’t take off, and the ones that quietly become part of who you are.
