Sarika Kakrania

Your journey has had many momentous milestones. Could you tell us about your life-changing journey that has moulded you to be what you are today?

When I first began, I had been a housewife for 17 years. This was the first thing in years I was doing for myself. Though I had little expectations of it to work well, the motivation the success of Pink City has given me to dream bigger has been momentous. My journey inspires me to aim for the sky and devise a plan to reach that goal.

Could you list 3 of your major achievements?
– Shilpa Shetty wearing Pink City for her Ganpati celebrations.
– Being interviewed for Big FM.
– Publishing my coffee table book.

What are the setbacks you have faced? How did you tackle these setbacks or challenges? And what lesson have you learned from it?

I think the pandemic suddenly got a burst of setbacks in my life. I have always believed in the pen-and-paper style of business. I suddenly had to upskill to become pro tech. Google Sheets, website, image, drive, and the power of Instagram are all things I learned to navigate in the post-covid world. The biggest learning lesson from this has been to always evolve with changing times to stay relevant. Change is scary, but transitioning is imperative to grow.

When you look back, what are the three qualities in you that have helped you become what you are today?
– Artistic flair.
– Patience and persistence to keep going.
– The knack for marrying business with design.

Who are the people who have been the wind behind your wings?
My kids and husband undoubtedly. My daughter is my biggest tech guru, a very important support system to run a business in the digital age.

Lastly,  if there was a quote to define you, what would it be?
Dream it, wish it, achieve it. Then dream some more.

Fashion, like a perfectly timed runway cue, always tells you where you’re headed... sometimes even before the lights come up. He did it again! That's right, Kartik Aaryan is making super-spicy headlines, and again, it's not for the right reasons... Indeed, TheGlitz says, if Bollywood had a syllabus titled How to Become Viral Without Saying a Word, Kartik Aaryan would currently be its most discussed case study. It all began, as most modern-day controversies do, not with a statement or a sighting but with a Goa whisper, a few blurry social media breadcrumbs, and the internet’s favourite sport: connecting dots that may or may not exist. Somewhere between sun-soaked beaches, sightings, and speculative screenshots, Bollywood's headliner Kartik found himself at the centre of a spiralling narrative...
It all began with the charismatic man-about-town Mario Ferreira leaning in and saying, “You have to listen to Tammy & Roy.” And once we did? There was no going back. There’s a quiet revolution happening in India’s travel landscape — one that doesn’t just involve humans with suitcases, but furry co-pilots with wagging tails and curious whiskers. Pets are no longer left behind when families embark on vacations or trips; they’re being packed into cars, carried on flights, and included in holiday itineraries the way newborns once were. But while demand is skyrocketing all across the world, India’s hospitality industry is a tad slow... and is still catching up — and here’s why Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz believes that the time has come for a pet-friendly makeover in India.
