There are evenings, and then there are moments that linger… where fashion, culture, and charisma collide in one heady celebration of style. I, Sumita Chakraborty, Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz, was recently invited by Raymond to one such spectacular affair: the Raymond’s Chairman Collection fashion showcase at the Bombay Times Fashion Week, and let me tell you… it was grand in every sense of the word.

Raymond’s Chairman Collection fashion showcase

Held at the opulent Fairmont, Mumbai, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, elegance in the air and fashion’s finest in attendance. As I made my way in, I was warmly embraced by none other than the gorgeous Nisha JamVwal… whose energy is as radiant as her beauty. There’s something eternally stunning about Nisha; she doesn’t just walk into a room, she elevates it. That signature hug of hers? Pure love, pure warmth.

Though the show began a tad late (as most fabulous events do!), what unfolded was nothing short of a visual symphony… a masterclass in menswear. The showcase was a seamless confluence of style and sensibility… merging the refined elegance of Raymond Ready to Wear, the rich cultural artistry of Ethnix by Raymond, and the sleek urban edge of Park Avenue. Together, they celebrated a vision of timeless sophistication, rooted in tradition yet attuned to the rhythm of modern masculinity.

And then, the moment everyone was waiting for – celebrated chef and television personality Chef Ranveer Brar made his much-anticipated ramp debut as the showstopper for Chairman’s Collection. Dressed in a look that perfectly distilled the spirit of the modern Indian man… rooted in tradition yet unapologetically forward-thinking…. Chef Ranveer walked the ramp with effortless ease and quiet confidence. He wasn’t just wearing the ensemble; he was living the story it told.

“Walking the ramp for Raymond’s Chairman’s Collection was more than just a debut—it was a moment of personal expression,” Ranveer shared. “Fashion, much like food, is a powerful language. This collaboration allowed me to tell a story of the modern Indian man, rooted in tradition, yet confidently stepping into the future.”

A fitting sentiment, indeed. The Chairman’s Collection itself was a curated tribute to the evolving identity of Indian men… seamlessly merging the brand’s rich heritage with sharp contemporary tailoring. From lustrous silk shirts to intricately crafted bandhgalas, every piece was a love letter to Indian craftsmanship, precision, and sophistication. Labels like Raymond Ready to Wear, Ethnix by Raymond, and Park Avenue converged on the runway, each telling a story of timeless elegance and urban finesse.

As the dapper Gautam Singhania, Chairman of Raymond Lifestyle Limited, puts it beautifully: “This is a milestone year for Raymond, and this limited edition of The Chairman’s Collection is our tribute to India’s rich heritage and craftsmanship. As a homegrown Indian brand loved by millions, Raymond has crafted menswear offerings across price points for all occasions.”

And that’s what made the evening so special… it wasn’t just about fashion. It was about legacy, storytelling, and evolving masculinity. This legacy brand reminded us once again why it remains a cornerstone of Indian menswear: a brand that doesn’t follow trends but shapes them with poise and authenticity.

As I left the venue, still basking in the glamour and grace of it all, I couldn’t help but think… this wasn’t just a fashion show. It was an immersive celebration of style that speaks of legacy, craftsmanship, and a new-age masculinity that’s both rooted and refined.

The Chairman’s Collection stood tall as the evening’s pièce de résistance… its silhouettes, textures, and details telling stories of Indian heritage reimagined for the man of today. And at the heart of it all was Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar, whose commanding yet effortless presence on the ramp added a layer of soulful charisma to the showcase. He wasn’t just the showstopper…. he was the embodiment of everything the collection stood for: elegance, individuality, and quiet power. And I also want to give a big shoutout to the ever-gracious Nisha JamVwal, whose warmth, elegance, and infectious energy lit up the evening…. welcoming guests with her signature charm and style.

This was fashion with purpose. Fashion that doesn’t whisper but confidently declares its place in a changing world.

And fashion like this?…Is always in vogue.
