Radhika Khanijo

This Mother’s Day, TheGlitz honours the extremely inspirational Radhika Khanijo, the visionary founder of Welgrow Travels. For over 28 years, Radhika has transformed her deep passion for exploration into a world-class luxury travel brand, curating experiences that are as unforgettable as they are personal. But beyond the passport stamps and bespoke itineraries lies a story of a woman whose proudest journey has been motherhood.

In this special Mother’s Day feature, Radhika opens up about the quiet pride of watching her children carve meaningful paths of their own… her daughter, Dr. Sana Khanijo, a compassionate surgeon, and her son, Ansh Khanijo, a torchbearer expanding the family legacy with vision and purpose. For Radhika, motherhood isn’t separate from her entrepreneurial journey, it’s the compass that’s guided her every decision, every milestone.

She believes balance isn’t about perfection but presence, and her ability to navigate life’s dual roles with grace and groundedness is what makes her journey so extraordinary. As Welgrow continues to redefine luxury travel across the globe, Radhika remains rooted in what truly matters… legacy, love, and living with intention.

Her story is one of quiet strength and visionary leadership, where motherhood fuels ambition, and ambition deepens empathy. Whether she’s curating a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience or sharing a moment of joy with her children, Radhika leads with heart. In a world that often demands compromise, she proves that you can have both – a thriving business and a nurturing home.

In an exclusive interview with TheGlitz, Radhika Khanijo talks about the profound joys of motherhood, the milestones that shaped her, and how she beautifully blends passion with purpose.

What’s been the most rewarding part of your motherhood journey so far?

It has to be witnessing both my children grow into individuals who lead with purpose and passion. As a mother, nothing compares to that quiet pride when you see them make choices that reflect strength, clarity and integrity. My daughter, Dr. Sana Kahnijo,  chose the noble path of becoming a surgeon—a decision that speaks volumes about her empathy and drive. My son, Ansh Khanijo,  chose to join and expand our family’s legacy, bringing in a fresh perspective with a deep respect for it . Watching them walk their own paths, yet carry forward the values we’ve instilled, is the most profound reward I could ask for.

How do you tackle challenges, and what are three milestones that define your journey?
I’ve learned that challenges are not roadblocks, they’re redirections. I tackle them by pausing, reflecting and moving forward with clarity.

Three milestones that define my journey:

  1. Becoming a mother– It shifted everything. It grounded me and gave every decision more meaning.
  2. Building Welgrow Travels from the ground up– Turning a passion for discovery into a brand that creates unforgettable journeys.
  3. Finding a rhythm that lets me thrive both as a mother and as an entrepreneur– Not by separating the two, but by letting them empower each other.

How do you strike that beautiful balance between work and home life?

Radhika

I don’t think balance is about dividing time equally, it’s about giving your presence fully!  I’ve found peace in understanding that some days my family needs more of me and on others, my work does. And that’s okay. I’ve built a support system that allows me to be present in both roles with heart and intention. The key is fluidity—not chasing perfection, but embracing the flow of it all. I let love guide my decisions, and everything else finds its place.

My TheGlitz quote is…

“I’m building a legacy my children can be proud of—and watching them build their own alongside me.”

In a world increasingly defined by climate uncertainty, a few individuals are not merely studying the crisis — they are helping nations prepare for it. Abinash Mohanty, Global Sector Head, Climate Change & Sustainability, is one such changemaker. An IPCC AR6 reviewer, creator of India's first Climate Vulnerability Index, and a globally respected voice in climate adaptation, Abinash has spent over 15 years working at the intersection of climate science, public policy, water security, resilience planning, and adaptation finance.
The future of beauty will not be defined solely by innovation, trends, or performance. It will be defined by responsibility. Few leaders understand this shift better than Subham Virmani, Director of Esskay Beauty Resources, who is helping reshape India's professional beauty industry through a powerful combination of sustainability, ethical business practices, and a bold commitment to vegan beauty.
When conversations around sustainable mobility begin, the spotlight often falls on shiny new electric vehicles and futuristic transportation technologies.
