Chef Shivani Sharma, Chefpreneur Founder, Gourmestan

Some women don’t just wear many hats… they wear them flawlessly, fearlessly, and often all before breakfast. Chef Shivani Sharma is one such powerhouse woman who blends ambition, motherhood, resilience, and reinvention with signature style.

That is exactly why TheGlitz chose Chef Shivani Sharma, Chefpreneur Founder, Gourmestan, as part of TheGlitzMegaSuperMom 2026.

Chef Shivani is the kind of modern mother who doesn’t wait for balance to arrive wrapped in a bow… she creates it in the middle of the chaos. Entrepreneur, culinary innovator, founder, traveller, and hands-on mother, she proves that women do not need to slow down to nurture, nor shrink their dreams to raise a child.

What struck us most was her refreshing honesty. She says there is no such thing as perfect work-life balance… and frankly, we love that truth bomb. Instead, Chef Shivani turns hustle into harmony, often bringing her son into her world and creating meaningful moments in the middle of a busy life. That is not compromise… that is brilliance.

Motherhood, for Shivani, has taught patience, positivity, and resilience. Her son inspires her daily through conscious questions and a new-age perspective, showing that sometimes children become our greatest teachers.

Even more inspiring is how motherhood shaped her business journey. She founded Gourmestan with a purpose… to create gourmet food that nourishes without compromise, blending taste, wellness, and mindful ingredients. In short, she built a brand with heart.

Bold, driven, stylish, and deeply grounded, Chef Shivani represents the woman who can command a boardroom, build a business, raise a child, and still stay spontaneous.

She calls motherhood resilience.

We call her TheGlitzMegaSuperMom 2026.

Over To Chef Shivani Sharma, Chefpreneur Founder, Gourmestan

Chef Shivani Sharma

You wear many hats — mother, leader, achiever. Which role has surprised you the most, and why?

The role that I cherish and one that has surprised me the most is that of a mother. Motherhood has been one of my life’s greatest teachers. Through each conversation with my son Agam, I learn more about how his generation thinks and learns. Their perspectives and their knowledge are very different than what we grew up with. Just spending each day by his side, exploring and engaging with him inspires me because of the conscious questions he asks and the conscious choices he inspires me to make in the most surprising ways. Each interaction with him brings out a new discovery, and challenges me to think and live differently.

In a world that celebrates hustle, how do you create meaningful moments of pause and connection with your son?

I think hustling has become an inseparable part of my life as an entrepreneur and a mother. There’s no escaping it. Instead, I sometimes make him a part of my hustle and, together, we create magical moments of joy and learning. Sometimes, I take him to work with me, which gives us both the opportunity to spend time together, just partaking in his day-to-day activities while I fulfil my work obligations. Working mothers don’t really have the luxury of time or even the headspace to go out much to seek these curated opportunities. Instead, we have to create them for ourselves, even as the hustle swirls around us.

What is one life lesson motherhood has taught you that no business school or boardroom ever could?

Chef Shivani with son Agam

Motherhood has taught me patience. It has also taught me to have a very positive attitude and outlook, even when the going gets tough and challenging. I have also learned that there is no such thing as work-life balance. When works calls, you must answer. At the same time, you must find ways to live and enjoy your life. The only way you can do both is to be very positive and appreciative about how you regard your work, and the balance in life will automatically fall in place. There’s really no way to distinguish the two.

If your son had to describe you in three words, what do you think he would say… and what would you hope he says?

I think my son would understand that I am a provider, who will care for his needs and provide as required. Secondly, he would describe me as a straightforward and strict mother. The last word he would think of would be traveller, because we enjoy our travels together and try to see as much of the world as we can, in each other’s company.

Could you tell us a bit your work and the philosophy behind it?

Being a parent is such a large part of my entrepreneurial journey. I started Maison Gourmestan because I wanted my son – and, through him, the world – to be able to enjoy the best of gourmet foods without compromising on their wellbeing. He continues to inspire me to bring my signature blend of mindful ingredient-led product line to as many pantry shelves in the world as I can.

Maison Gourmestan is the change I am living and the one I want to bring to the way we think about gourmet foods and indulgence. It also embodies the mindset that I hope our future generations will inherit – whether in the form of championing locally and sustainably grown ingredients, gluten-free preparations, or even preservative-free packaged foods that combine convenience with taste.
