Dear TheGlitzers,… this week we didn’t just scroll… we curated with intent. From boardroom brilliance to beauty drops, from decadent bites to wellness highs, this is where culture meets cool and luxury gets a personality.

Welcome to This Week on TheGlitz, where Sumita Chakraborty, Founder & Editor-in-chief, TheGlitz, handpicks what’s hot, what’s haute, what’s happening, and what absolutely deserves your attention. …Because let’s be honest… if it’s not TheGlitz-approved, is it even worth the buzz?

This Week on TheGlitz

Fashion x Food: Julien Patisserie’s Couture Confections Take Over Fort

This Week

At Galeries Lafayette, Kala Ghoda, desserts didn’t just arrive… they made an entrance. Julien Patisserie’s SS26 debut is less about pastries and more about plated couture. Helmed by the multi-talented Chef Amit Jadav (impeccably turned out in a colour-coordinated tux, of course), these creations don’t just sit pretty… they strut. Think confections that flirt shamelessly with indulgence… decadent, dramatic, and dressed to impress.

Each bite was a runway moment. The Cherry pastry that I tried was the perfect mix of tart tease and sweet surrender. I spotted Mocha desserts that melt faster than your resolve, leaving behind a trail of rich, coffee-kissed seduction. From afar, I gazed longingly thinking despairingly about my diet at those hazelnut-laden choco cookies – pure, nutty nirvana… crunchy, gooey, and dangerously addictive.

The debut menu also featured petit gateaux, celebration cakes, tiramisu, cookies, tea cakes, and brownies, with signature flavours like Macadamia MuseCherry After DarkVelvet Blush, and a standout Julien Tiramisu.

With marketing head Ashna spotlighted “flavour” as the hero, this is where couture meets cocoa, and every creation is layered, textured, and unapologetically indulgent… a full-blown flavour affair.

And was it delicious?
Oh, it was more than that… it was délicieux, divine, and downright dessert-obsessed. One bite in, and suddenly, you’re not in Mumbai anymore… you’re in a chic Parisian patisserie, savouring life one sinful, sugar-dusted moment at a time.

Julien is the new patisserie & dessert house introduced by Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality and is available via delivery, takeaway, and exclusive pop-ups. Positioned beyond a conventional patisserie, Julien blends fashion, design, and storytelling to create desserts that are as expressive as they are indulgent. Guests can also experience the brand in person at its pop-up at Galeries Lafayette, Mumbai, which includes a curated dessert selection alongside coffee, matcha, and teas. My review for This Week on TheGlitz ? Not to be missed!

Jakobi Chocolatier — Easter, But Make It Intimate & Indulgent

This Easter, Jakobi Chocolatier is scripting moments of togetherness. Their thoughtfully curated Easter Egg Box transforms chocolate into a shared ritual, where each bite invites connection. From the molten, honeyed decadence of Dolcezza to the tropical brightness of Mahro and the fragrant, lingering notes of Elara, every truffle is layered, textured, and deeply evocative. Designed for passing, sharing, and savouring, this is chocolate that goes beyond taste… it becomes a moment. Price: INR 749 (9 pcs)

Food Spotlight: TOA 66 — Thai, But Make It Vegetarian & Chic

TOA 66 – Mumbai’s first vegetarian Thai tasting experience turns one… and it’s serving elevated deliciousness. Co-founded by Ishaa Jogani Shah and Deval Shah, this intimate 26-seater continues to reinvent Thai cuisine through a plant-forward lens. With chefs Kanchit and Natanong Vongvichai refining every detail, the anniversary menu is sharper, bolder, and beautifully balanced. Minimal seats, maximum flavour, this is dining that feels like a secret you’re lucky to know… definitely, suited to be in the elite segment of This Week on TheGlitz.

The Cocktail Room, Prabhadevi — Where Cocktails Come with a Side of Drama

Mumbai nights, This Week on TheGlitz, just got a serious upgrade as The Cocktail Room steps into its bold new avatar… a high-energy, premium casual dining destination that’s equal parts flavour and flair. The menu is playful, global, and designed for sharing, with standout dishes like Butter Chicken Wonton Lasagna, Lamb Birria Quesadilla, and Gochujang Noodles sitting comfortably alongside tacos, ramen, and indulgent churros.

Nostalgia, I say, also gets a cheeky twist with the Adult Happy Meal, while the bar, helmed by world champion bartender Sebastian Donoso, turns every drink into a spectacle with creations like the Popcorn Star Martini and Strange Sour. Add retro nights, music-forward evenings, and an electric, anything-can-happen vibe, and you’ve got a spot that’s made for spontaneous plans and unforgettable nights out.

Supa San, BKC — Power Lunch, But Make It Japanese Chic

At Supa San in BKC, the weekday lunch just got a stylish, flavour-forward makeover with the launch of The Business Lunch Arc. Presented in a classic Japanese bento format, this is quick dining that doesn’t compromise on indulgence… Think comforting curry-led bentos like Ebi Kare (prawn tempura), Tori Kare (grilled chicken), and Yasai Kare (tofu and seasonal vegetables), all served with rice, agedashi tofu soup, pickles, and tempura.

For something more playful, the mazesoba bowls… especially the Kani Udon Mazesoba with creamy crab bisque… deliver big on flavour, while lighter options like Yasai Udon keep things balanced. Paired with izakaya-style mocktails and matcha-hojicha beverages, this is the kind of lunch that means business… but tastes like pleasure, so obviously, it is on This Week on TheGlitz.
