I always loved the rustic setting of Himachal Pradesh and my all-time favourite Indian pop-rock band has been Euphoria. So now when Euphoria announced that their latest music video was shot in a rustic and charming cottage called Rooh in Himachal’s famous Bir- Billing, I was obviously fascinated. Bir- Billing is renowned for its paragliding and quaint cafes.

Euphoria

For the unversed, The Euphoria Band is widely recognized for its unique and innovative approach to music. Founded by Dr. Palash Sen in 1988, the Band’s latest release, “Jaane Khuda,” is a poignant and thought-provoking musical journey that explores the themes of relationships, career choices, and faith. The accompanying short film depicts the story of two musaafirs who meet at a crossroads in life, asking the timeless question of where fate will take them. This extraordinary and relatable tale is a reflection of modern-day India and will leave listeners captivated and inspired.

Rooh!

Built in 1944, using riverstone and mud, in the traditional hill style of the Kangra Valley, Rooh is a remote two-story cottage, located in Bari, 5 km from the paragliding landing site at Bir, Himachal Pradesh. Home to some of the most spectacular skylines, valleys, and mountains, Rooh is not just an abode, it’s an ode to the elements – liberating, expansive, serene, and rejuvenating.

So What Does It Offer?

Rooh offers unparalleled views of the majestic mountains and valleys, making it an ideal location for those seeking to connect with nature. The first floor of the cottage features a cozy bedroom with an attached bath and powder room, a living room with a smart TV, and a covered verandah accessible from both the bedroom and living room. The ground floor features a well-equipped kitchen/pantry area, complete with a refrigerator, microwave, induction cooker, crockery, silverware, utensils, and seating by the romantic and rustic bukhari (wood heater). Open courtyards around the cottage provide ample space for lounging and soaking in the stunning surroundings. Rooh is the ideal location for artists and musicians to unleash their creativity and get inspired by the majestic beauty of nature.

Quotes, Experiences & Opinions!

“I’ve been here in Bir, Himachal Pradesh for the past week and it has been one of the most joyous and euphoric moments of my life.” said Palash Sen, the founder and lead vocalist of The Euphoria Band “We have been hosted by Harmit at Rooh which is on top of a mountain; One of the most tranquil, beautiful and serene places I have ever been to. In today’s world where everyone is just running a rat race, we came to a place where we were treated like family.”

“You brought your Euphonious voice to Rooh. Thank you Team Euphoria, Abhinav, Alok, and Exsul. Sirf ‘Jaane Khuda’ can express how grateful we are for the love and affection you brought into Bir and Bari.” – Harmit Singh, Founder of Rooh and Exsul Travel.
