StoneX – Timeless Showcase

As part of this exquisite showcase, StoneX presents its Verde Veria marble installation, nestled elegantly within the Curva Space at the Triennale di Milano, running from April 7th to 13th. A rich tapestry of deep green hues and dramatic veining, Verde Veria isn’t just marble… it’s myth made manifest. TheGlitz brings you the story of StoneX x Wallpaper*’s ‘Material Alchemists’ from Milan, where natural stone speaks with a timeless eloquence beyond words.

Design Dialogue
So what is it all about? ‘Material Alchemists’ is a daring and diverse celebration of 20 emerging designers and studios from around the world. Each talent brings their unique vision to the ancient practice of material transformation, spanning mediums from ceramics to textiles, metals to woods, and of course, stone. The works showcased reflect a deep, almost alchemical process of metamorphosis, where raw matter becomes design poetry. From sculptural elegance to conceptual installations, each piece resonates with the energy of reinvention.

Creative Core
At the core of this dialogue is StoneX, a brand that sees stone not merely as substance, but as storyteller… one that has journeyed through millennia to meet the hands of modern artistry. Their presence at the Triennale is not only a visual statement but a philosophical one: stone, with its weight of time and texture of memory, is ready to converse with the future.

Shared Vision
Malcolm Young, Managing Director, Wallpaper*, explains the synergy behind the partnership: “Material Alchemists honours our mandate at Wallpaper* to bring emerging talents from around the world to the heart of the design industry, at the Triennale during Milan Design Week. We are delighted to partner with StoneX for our exhibition: our values of being committed to quality, expertise and creative ingenuity are very much aligned in all that we do.”

Enduring Philosophy
Sushant Pathak, Chief Marketing Officer, StoneX, offers a vision that bridges legacy with innovation: “At StoneX, we believe that stone is not just a material—it is a storyteller, a witness to time, and a canvas for human creativity. Partnering with Wallpaper*  for ‘Material Alchemists’ at Milan Design Week 2025 is an opportunity to celebrate the transformation of raw materials into extraordinary design expressions. This exhibition aligns with our mission to push the boundaries of stone, honoring both its heritage and its future in contemporary design.”

Global Theme
StoneX’s participation in ‘Material Alchemists’ also resonates with the official theme of Milan Design Week 2025, ‘Connected Worlds’… a call to embrace participatory and generative design. It’s about blending physical and digital, craft and code, history and the future. By bringing the essence of natural stone into this evolving dialogue, StoneX bridges geology with geometry, permanence with progress.

Rising Talent
Among the designers featured are some of the most exciting names shaping the future of form: Abid Javed, Agnes Studio, Ajay Shah, Alfred Lowe, Astraeus Clarke, Dina Nur Satti, Federico Stefanovich, Jiri Krejcirik, Kodai Iwamoto, Lennart Engels, Liam Fleming, Marc Sweeney, Michelle Jiaxin Huang, Miranda Keyes, Morii Design, Olorunfemi Adewuyi, Pauline Leprince, Sheyang Li, Steffany Tran, and Yoon Shun. Their works are bold, visceral, and visionary… exactly the kind of dialogue StoneX is passionate about engaging with.

Luxury Redefined
As Milan Design Week continues to explore the intersections of sustainability, materiality, and creative intelligence, StoneX’s presence is a reminder that true luxury lies not only in rarity but in relevance. Stone, once shaped by the earth, now shapes the future of design.
