Luxury, these days, refuses to sit still. It glitters on the wrist, shimmers down a couture gown, slips quietly into a jewel, disappears into the Maldives, roars through an Indonesian safari and even finds its way into the art of writing a letter.

This week, TheGlitz 7 travels across that wonderfully extravagant spectrum… from Piaget’s kaleidoscope of colour and Gucci’s equestrian codes to the much-anticipated ELIE SAAB x H&M collaboration. Breitling super luxurious watches inspired by legends, MontBlanc exquisite pens with stories worthy of cinema, Sun Siyam Iru Veli in the Maldives that has turned into an award-winning destination making romance into an art form to Taman Safari Indonesia, reminding us that luxury travel isn’t always about marble lobbies and infinity pools.

Sometimes, it is the privilege of getting extraordinarily close to the wild — of waking to the possibility of encountering a Sumatran elephant, watching a Komodo dragon, or simply allowing nature to become the day’s most spectacular itinerary.

So, here are seven stories from TheGlitz 7 making the luxury world a little more dazzling this week.

TheGlitz 7

Piaget: When Time Becomes a Celebration of Colour

Piaget has never been particularly interested in playing it safe. At its recent Art of Colour celebration in Mumbai, hosted with Art of Time and attended by Friend of the Maison Ananya Panday, the Swiss Maison once again demonstrated why colour, craftsmanship and a little audacity make such compelling companions.

Ananya wore the Limelight Gala Precious Rainbow, a spectacular high-jewellery timepiece alive with a shifting constellation of coloured gemstones. Sapphires, rubies, garnets and tsavorites transform the watch into something that feels less like an instrument for measuring time and more like a miniature work of art.

The evening at The St. Regis Mumbai brought together the worlds of horology, design and jewellery — a fitting setting for a Maison whose history has always been about pushing traditional watchmaking into more expressive territory.

TheGlitz 7 – ELIE SAAB x H&M: Couture Gets Ready for the High Street

TheGlitz 7

If there is one name capable of making glamour feel gloriously excessive again, it is ELIE SAAB.

The Beirut-born couture house is joining hands with H&M for a collaboration that promises embellished gowns, shimmering separates, sharply cut tailoring, delicate lace, gradient sequins and signature monograms — essentially, the kind of wardrobe that refuses to enter a room quietly.

For ELIE SAAB, the collaboration traces an extraordinary journey from Beirut bridalwear to the international couture stage. For H&M, it brings one of fashion’s most recognisable languages of romance, craftsmanship and red-carpet drama to a considerably wider audience.

The collection launches in select stores and online on October 22, 2026. Consider this your advance warning: understated dressing may have to make room for a little more sparkle.

TheGlitz 7 – Breitling: When Miles Davis Made a Watch Part of the Look

Long before watches became objects of fashion desire, Miles Davis understood that what sat on the wrist could say something about the person wearing it.

The jazz icon famously wore a Breitling Navitimer Ref. 806 Mk5, transforming what was conceived as a pilot’s instrument into part of his unmistakable personal style. To mark the centennial of Davis’ birth, Breitling is now paying tribute with the Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Miles Davis.

It is a fitting homage to a musician who built his career around breaking conventions. The story feels particularly Breitling: precision at its core, personality around it.

Because sometimes the most interesting luxury objects are the ones that acquire a life far beyond their original purpose.

TheGlitz 7 – Gucci: The Horsebit Rides Again

Few fashion motifs have travelled as elegantly through time as Gucci’s Horsebit.

Born in the late 1940s and inspired by equestrian hardware, the emblem eventually found its way onto Gucci’s accessories, loafers, jewellery and watches. Now the House is revisiting the icon through a new fine jewellery and watch collection captured by photographer Carlijn Jacobs in a campaign steeped in cinematic light and shadow.

Necklaces, pendants, diamond-set rings, sculptural bangles and a Horsebit watch reinterpret the motif in polished yellow and white gold, bringing a familiar emblem into a decidedly modern frame.

The genius of a great house code is that it never really disappears. It simply learns how to speak to a new generation.

TheGlitz 7 – Montblanc: A Meisterstück Blooms

There is something wonderfully tactile about a beautifully made writing instrument in an age when most of us spend our days tapping on glass.

Montblanc’s new Meisterstück Bloom brings a softer, more romantic chapter to the Maison’s iconic writing instrument. Following earlier interpretations in white and burgundy, the new collection introduces a trio of delicate pastel shades, lending the familiar silhouette an unexpectedly light and contemporary mood.

Inspired by sparkling moments along life’s many journeys, Meisterstück Bloom is a reminder that everyday objects can still possess ceremony. There is pleasure in holding something beautifully crafted, putting pen to paper and allowing a thought to become something tangible.

In a world increasingly lived through screens, perhaps that is its own form of luxury.

TheGlitz 7 – Sun Siyam Iru Veli: Best Wedding Destination

Some places seem to have been designed with romance in mind. Sun Siyam Iru Veli is one of them.

Set amid the turquoise waters of the Maldives, the island retreat has now been named Best Wedding Destination at the Travel Trade Maldives Awards & Gala 2026, following its earlier recognition as Best Honeymoon Destination in 2025.

Here, romance is less about elaborate choreography and more about choosing how much — or how little — you want the occasion to be. Private pools, secluded beaches, sandbanks and all-inclusive dining create the backdrop, while wedding planners work with couples to shape celebrations around their own stories.

There are barefoot ceremonies by the ocean, candlelit dinners beneath the stars, sunset cruises and, for those wanting absolute privacy, full-island buyouts.

The real luxury? Nothing has to feel standardised. A wedding here can be as intimate, extravagant, spontaneous or gloriously unhurried as the couple wishes.

TheGlitz 7 – Taman Safari Indonesia: Where the Wild Comes to You

(L to R) : Muchamad Raynald Ghazali – Abang Jakarta (Mr. Jakarta- official cultural & tourism ambassador), Endrati Fatriani, Head of Tourism & Creative Economy Education & Training, Division Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Department- Department of Tourism & Creative Economy DKI Jakarta, Alexander Zulkarnain, Chief Marketing Officer – Taman Safari Indonesia, Ms. Ervienia Oryza Sativa, Head of International Tourism Marketing Sub Division Department of Tourism & Creative Economy DKI Jakarta, Ms. Naomyscha Attalie Maza – None Jakarta (Miss Jakarta- official cultural & tourism ambassador)

And then, there is the kind of luxury that has nothing to do with marble lobbies or champagne… the thrill of seeing extraordinary wildlife in a setting that feels genuinely wild. Taman Safari Indonesia is inviting Indian travellers to trade conventional sightseeing for open-range safari adventures across Bali and Java, with encounters ranging from Komodo dragons and Sumatran elephants to tigers, penguins and giant pandas.

Across its destinations, the experience moves well beyond a traditional safari, combining wildlife, conservation, family adventures, immersive stays and even underwater dining. For Indian families and multigenerational travellers, the added ease of vegetarian and Indian dining, selected Indian chefs, private vehicle tours and customised itineraries makes the proposition particularly interesting. It is, quite literally, a holiday where the itinerary might include a jungle, an ocean and a few creatures you would normally expect to see only in a documentary.

TheGlitz 7 Take

Luxury, as these seven stories remind us, is becoming gloriously eclectic. It can be a rainbow of gemstones on Ananya Panday’s wrist, an Elie Saab gown made accessible to a new generation, a Miles Davis-inspired chronograph, a beautifully crafted pen, an island built around romance, an equestrian emblem reinvented in diamonds — or the unforgettable moment when a wild animal suddenly appears in front of you.

The common thread? Storytelling. The most compelling luxury today isn’t simply about what you own or where you stay. It is about the story, craftsmanship, heritage, emotion and sense of discovery attached to it.

And really, isn’t that what makes something worth coveting?
