As a part of TheGlitzMegaStarMom initiative, could you tell us about the magical moments of your journey as a MegaStar Mom and what TheGlitzMega StarMom initiative means to you?
Being a mother is often quoted as the most exhaustive yet rewarding job and I’d have to agree. I am a mother of two boys, who owns a design business with her husband as her partner and support system, and every second of this journey has been magical. Even the times that require every second of my strength are worth it because I get to feel alive amidst all my dreams. TheGlitzMegaStarMom initiative fills me with immense joy because just like myself, countless moms strive every day to make their efforts count and to be recognised for a role that has gone severely underappreciated for the better part of these past centuries is refreshing.

Could you describe your experiences as a momfluencer/ mompreneur? Pick out three of fave moments with your little ones.
I won’t lie, it is not an easy job, and I think moms around the world will agree that balancing family and career as a mother is synonymous with riding a tandem bike from the front. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world, as I get to enjoy exhilarating moments with my kids and share my passion with them through activities like sculpting or baking. We also enjoy late-night family bonding on weekends; you know the simple pleasures of life.

Tell us about three challenges and rewards of running a successful business or being an influencer while being a mother.

Running a business as a mother alludes to both my children needing my attention, and I can’t favour either of the two. I won’t say that sometimes one of them does take precedence at a given moment. For instance, if we have multiple projects at the firm running simultaneously or if one of my boys gets sick, I’m required to attend to them. Additionally, I have to work harder than my male counterparts to be accorded the same amount of respect in the field only on the grounds of belonging to the supposed ‘fairer sex’. I’m also expected to put my family first, while my husband, who has been a wonderful partner personally and professionally, doesn’t need to skirt these expectations. It is normal to juggle through them; pay attention that you continually balance the scales. I’ve tried to bring my kids and my passion together by enrolling them in skill enhancement, and though they are really young, we often enjoy brief brainstorming sessions in my office as they come up with some fascinating ideas too.

There are some people who, when you think of them, you can't help but smile. For me, Mr. Nari Hira, the legendary media baron behind iconic magazines like Stardust, Society, and Savvy, was one of those rare individuals. He wasn’t just my boss—he was a mentor, a confidant, and a man who turned work into an exhilarating adventure. Sumita Chakraborty, former Editor of Stardust and now the Editor-in-Chief of TheGlitz, recalls nostalgically about Mr. Nari Hira: "He was the captain of our Bollywood ship, steering us through choppy gossip-filled waters with a laugh and a wink, always knowing just when to throw in a little more spice to keep the voyage thrilling!"
